I was bored so I made a vision of how I think the park should expand in the next decade.

Not really I am happy with what we got, but maybe we could have the best of both worlds. I do plan to go to kings dominion next summer and try it out, but time and money are hard for me. How much unused land does the park actually own?

Huss is not the only manufacturer of things..

As far as this "wishlist" thread.. where do I begin.. :?

seems like everytime this thread comes up you have to mildly remind everyone this same revelation lol...

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not a big fan of flat rides but that looked AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Carowinds SOOOO needs something like that. Nice ride capacity and duration on that ride too! That's like going down 20 big roller coaster hills

I think there needs to be another entrance to the water park. Here is my idea for a new entrance!

The Yellow slashed area is the zone that would really be the best spot to put the new entrance!

Also, good flat ride space can be found right here! Again yellow slashed area. This area is kinda lacking.

When Kookaburra Bay first popped up in 2006 and I saw how close it was, it was a bit perplexing to me as well. After some thinking though, they would have to add lockers, changing rooms etc to that side of the waterpark. Also its easier to control the flow of people in or out when there is only one gate. I still think they should open that spot up, but I'm okay knowing they likely never will.

Also I could find about 20 places throughout the park where you could put flat rides, that spot being one of them. The important thing for that particular area is to keep the majority of the trees intact. You know how Bart loves the trees.

Would they really need to build all that?

My proposed area is only .06 of a mile from that main hub center with the rest rooms and lockers than the main entrence to it.

Measurements made in Google Earth.

The other thing to consider is that this would be more of a short cut. Another thing you have to add to the .07 of a mile is the long distance you must take from the South Gate. The walk is just plain long.

Also, the amount of people that walk thru the front of Great Barrier Reef to get to a location behind that building is crazy! By making this a entrance there would really be no traffic flow from that entrance casually walking in front of people at the Reef.

I don't know why but that seems to be the way people go, never straight ahead toward the Hub building.

So traffic flow really is an issue already.

Granted, this is all fantasy, but here's what I think:

They could easily do away with all of the parking beside Thunder Road. They have plenty of places they can add in parking. I think they could pull a KD and expand the waterpark on the other side of Thunder Road, in the blue triangle.

The yellow section is the Action FX theater. I say either destroy it and put in a flat, or revamp it into something better than it is now.

The teal section in the other half of the parking lot could be used for a new section. Speaking of flat land...The green area is in the park and could be used for a nice new wooden coaster, or coaster of another sort, and they could build new picnic pavilions in the old parking lot too.

The 3 different colored dots are areas I think would be great for new flat rides. The Hurler turn around still has area, even if that building is there, to put something, but I doubt it would happen.
