Lets say they add the new water park, and the new area of the park that you have drawn out... Could they not extend the parking lot into the area beside those areas where the trees are?

Also, is there a reason there is only parking in south carolina?

I'm sure they could extend that out a ways if need be, but really, it's not that huge a tract of land, and they could just use the grassy area behind the parking.

No clue if the SC parking is due to taxes or simply the way the park was laid out.

Employee parking, Bus parking & half of the Season Pass parking is in NC

It is just the way the park was laid out.

I know that this is off subject, but I had a dream last night that white lightning was relocated back to carowinds and it was placed behind cyclone (it was a dream I know there is no room back there). It was painted similar to cyclone's color changing track red, white, and blue. If this dream was real, I think I could see it behind hurler before cyclone.

Why did Carowinds get rid of White Lightnin'? I freaking love those types of launch coasters........I guess carolina cobra is a little similar (forwards/then backwards.......Minus the launch).....Oh well........It was a dream.

It was due to high maintenance costs. They had to rebuid the lauch mechanism every season from what I've been told. If you ever want to ride it, you can always go to Gold Reef City (Theme Park) in Johannesburg, South Africa where it's called Golden Loop.

Time and money is a factor there. However, it would cost more to move it back than to take a trip to south Africa.


I just saw the movie Grown Ups, and there was a scene where there was a zip line that went above a pool in the water park. It was possibly about 30ft-40ft high at the station then about 12-20 ft high above the water (i am guessing). It would be completely awesome if carowinds' installed one of these in the water park. Too bad it would never happen due to safety issues. I apologize, I tried to find a picture to describe what I was talking about, but if anyone sees the movie (great movie) they will know what i am talking about.
