I went to both parks on a Monday and Tuesday and rode mostly everything. Universal Studios had decent lines less than 30 mins for most rides and single rider lines were walk ons. Rip Ride Rock it was awesome. Theres nothing like enjoying a badass roller coaster while listening to Insane in the Membrane. The Mummy, surprised me, I thought it was going to be a weak ride like Twister was, it wasn't. What a great design with some very nice special effects. Longest wait was for Krusty, about 45 min wait. Pretty good ride. Island of Adventure is a different story, until about 4pm, the lines were ridiculous. 1.5 hr waits etc the flags were in full force and their chanting/cheering was irritating. There was a 2 hr wait just to get inside the Harry Potter part of the park and they were issuing tickets. Needless to say, I came back later, so around 6pm or so that line was history, waited 15 mins in the single rider line. The ride blew me away, one of the best I have been on. It does have issues though, it must have broke down 6 times while I was waiting in line but not while I was riding.

I too had no clue what Mummy was about before riding. When we were getting on the ride and noticed the extreme restraints, my wife and I looked at each other and said there may be more to this ride than we know. And boy was there ever. Such a cool ride.

I really love both sides of Universal but I do caution anyone going in October. They shut down at about 5 pm. Make everyone leave, then reopen for their Scarowinds type park. I was so angry the last time I went. No one had told me anything about it closing at 5. Disney World's Magic Kingdom did the same thing - during the same trip. We learn as we go.

It is always great to see people enjoy things that I have had my hands on.

This is the first time I have saw anyone refer Halloween Horror Nights, the premier park Halloween Event that is entering its 20th year, as the Scarowinds Type Park.

Has anyone heard about about people planing a Disney Vacation for the hopes of seeing the new Harry Potter Land?

Even ABC said on a article that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was the newest Disney World theme park.
