General Carowinds discussion

Yeah, I stopped at the Carowinds exit last night on our way back home from Florida, and the lights on the coasters were all on. I thought it looked pretty neat, and I saw that BORG's lights are just normal lift lights. I didn't hear BORG running, so I don't think it was testing, but I don't know, maybe it was and I just couldn't see or hear it!

Ok before anyone panics read this all the way through ha ha.

A friend of mine that works off of Carowinds Blvd saw one of the trains "stuck" on the lift hill today I think it was. He said it's just sitting there.

I know that sometimes they'll leave a train on the track overnight at some parks. I hope all is well with Borg. Has anyone heard anything about problems with Borg?

So it's still stuck up there then? Whatever's up, I'm sure it will be fine by Saturday. The park has been working really really hard on BORG, and I think they'll work as hard as possible to get it going for opening day.

That is sooo wierd because my sources called me this morning, waking me up might i add, and told me that the train was "stuck" in the station!! Then they called me back and told me that they were just walking around the area and the train was stuck on the brakes also!! So me, the coaster guru i am, told them to call me on their cell when they are around the coaster.

This is what they explained to me; the coaster got "stuck" on the brake run while the other train was "stuck" in the station. Then as the "stuck train in the station started to approach the lift hill the other "stuck" train on the brake run began to progress to the station!! Then they went on to tell me that the train again got "stuck" on the lift hill in order for some construction workers to take a look at some stuff on the brake run. Man is it me or does that coaster get "stuck" alot!!

Sounds like maybe a censor malfunctioned or something to tell the computer that the train has cleared the station???

I'm sure all is or will be well with our new coaster.

I sure would hate to be one of the mechanics at this time. Going into crunch time under pressure would put a toll on you. You know Carowinds wants this thing to go off without a glitch.

There is more rideing on this then just getting it running. Like thousands of people p/o and wont come back to the park. That is if hey fail to deliver what they clam.
