Ok so we arrived around noon and the park was moderately full... not so full that it lessened our Carowinds experience for the day. Our first ride was intimidator, and it was just great... all my rides were that day. I think we might have only ridden it 8 or 9 times, as some other friends wanted to ride all the other rides. Most everything else is a waste of time compared to Intimidator. The ride ops were doing really well today, and I was able to request the back row every time I wanted, and the front twice. The first trim hit on every ride except for one, but the ejector air was wonderful regardless of the trim. The socond trim hit every time, and hit hard a few times. It never ruined any ride, but it was a fairly dramatic contrast. Regardless of trims and how hard they hit, I felt much ejector air on nearly every hill for every ride. My opinion of the second hill has lessened somewhat... it is a bit tame. The rest was fantastic, however. Afterburn was running extremely well on Sunday. My two rides in the front were probably the best two rides I have ever had on Afterburn. Rode Nighthawk twice, and they were OK. It closed for a few hours in the middle of the day, but the line was never more than 30 minutes I dont think. Cyclone was ROUGH. VERY ROUGH. The flyers were wonderful, and Tasha the ride op is hilarious. I love exchanging comebacks with her waiting in the line. Thunder road felt a bit rougher than back in June, but the new track is butter. Hurler... anyway... Our last few rides on Intimidator were wonderful, and easily the highlight of the day. A thunderstorm moved by the park, and while it closed the rides for a short time, the views from I232's lift hill were amazing. It was something else going up the hill and watching the storm move by, dumping rain on the other side of the interstate. I love the power hour! It was a great day and never too hot like last time. I'll be back, Intimidator!
"Lookit here son, I say son, did ya see that hawk after those hens? He scared 'em! That Rhode Island Red turned white. Then blue. Rhode Island. Red, white, and blue. That's a joke, son. A flag waver. You're built too low. The fast ones go over your head. Ya got a hole in your glove. I keep pitchin' 'em and you keep missin' 'em. Ya gotta keep your eye on the ball. Eye. Ball. I almost had a gag, son. Joke, that is. "<br>
