They showed the coaster on Fox last night about 10:50pm. I can't remember the guys name but he is a nut. The video showed the queue lines inside the station which are pretty small. They seemed about the same as Cyclone with alot of area to be jumbled up in.
Those trains are massive. The clip showed him getting straped in which was cool, the shoulder restraints are "rubbery" and with the vest thing and lap/shin restraints it still looks comfortable. He noted that you recline in the station and when you dive it is towards the water so this will definantly be a cool effect.
He stated that his producer road with him and hurled after she got off the ride. First mess of the year!

I saw the same report. Yes, that's Mark Mathis. The guy needs some serious meds. He is so hyper! I'm not sure if the restraints were like that at PGA. The rubbery vest looked like it may help absorb any bumps and jolts that Vekoma is known for.

Just got home about 45 min ago. It wasnt a bad ride at all! The borg sphere was great! It was broken down when we left at 3:30....and they were taking the people out of the train. Thats probaly not a good sign.....1st day and already broken down... o well i got to ride it within 30 minutes of the park opening so its OK. Cant wait to go back and do it again and hopefully it wont break down!

^All rides have problems on there first few days of operation. As I understand the ride has a new operating system, so they may be working out the glitches.

It's also the first day for several employees, so they are just getting the swing of things as well.

If you didn't notice the numerous signs around the park, it said that the ride is in, what they called, a technical rehearsal, and that you should expect delays and the ride to be temporarily shut down throughout the day in order to fine tune it.

Yea i did see some signs that said something about fine tuning. O well....I want to go back later and ride it again....Why did they only have 1 train going? Is it because of it just being new and they OPs not used to it yet? They needed 2 trains really bad...

I would bet that they were running one train because the couldn'n get the computer systems to work for 2. Not because there was something wrong with the other train itself.

I've got 155 pics that I took today, Chad! Thanks to a new memory card. I'll try to post them later in some form. I loved going up in the Skytower and looking at Borg. You really felt like you could just reach out and touch the thing.

Gosh, that area looks soooo different. It actually takes up less space than I thought it would!
