Ok so my family had went Islands of adventure on August 3. We were staying at a resort and golf club and if we went on a tour we got a free days ticket to which ever park we choose to go to. After the tour we found out they couldn't do it for islands of adventure because of Harry Potter opening up this year. So they gave us a even larger discount, about $200 off the tickets.
Okay onto the park stuff. When we got there we paid about $14 for parking. After that we had to go buy our tickets. We got in the park at about 9:30 even though it did not open to ten. If you had a room key you could go to the right and get to Harry Pottter quicker. If you did not have a room key you had to walk around the entire park. SO we booked it over to Harry Potter. We walked and walked then they give you a card to get in. We got in like that no 30 min. wait like others say.We went straight to Harry Potter and the forbidden journey. The wait said 60 mins. so we waited it out. We waited exactly an hour. Let me tell you, you may be told to go between 7:00 - 10:00 don't do it. The wait was 120 mins. for it. Hussle over there and ride it first. The ride itself was my farvorite ride I rode that day and I am a big Harry Potter fan. After that we went stright to Jurrassic Park. It is a very fun high speed water ride. We rode the front row and got soaked. Next my sister wanted to ride Pteranodon flyers so I did it with her. It is a little swinging roller coaster. Then we walked around camp jurrassic for a little while. There is this really cool cave that has mist and fog in it and it is hard to find your way threw for the first time.
We then went and ate at burger digs they have one cashier for two lines so yes the line took forever. We got the meal deal and got our moneys worth. We then went and saw the 8th voyage of simbad wich is a great stunt show. After that we were going to go to The cat in the hat but then went to Posidens Fury. This is another cool show/tour. My sister got scared in the first room. We then did get to cat in the hat. Neat ride but it did not spin at a certain part because of the accident that happened. Then we went and rode the Incredable Hulk. This was my first launch coaster and i loved it. Rode the teacups. Fun.
We did see Matt Hoffmans Aggro circus, it was a good show. We were then off to Popeyes and Blutos Bilgerat Barges. Some of us were just starting to dry off from the morning. This ride was a walk on, but walking threw the line took forever. It must have been a good 2-3 hour wait from the entrance. A good themed rapid ride. At one part you go up a conveyer belt and then down a little. The belt stopped we were stuck on it for 10 min. before the ride started again. When we got off we saw four rafts all next to each other. Then we walked over to Dudley Do rights ripsaw falls. Really great log flume, second i have rode you guys can guess where the first one was. The wait said an hour we waited 30mn. It has a little bump (goes down a couple feet and comes back up) that is fun and the final drop is fun.
After that we went back to Harry Potter and Rode Dragon Challenge (Dueling Dragons) rode red and it was fun. Then rode flight of the hippogriff, this is an intense ride for a kiddie coaster. It was fun. We then went shopping and then it was closing time so we left at about 11:00. I bought a HP shirt, pumkin juice, chocolate frog, bertie botts beans, and some post cards. I ahd a great time at Islands of Adventure. If still reading thanks this is my first trip report.
