Looks like a lit candle wick. If calendar reading skills are correct, this would make the announcement August 27th, the day after the one year anniversary of Carowinds announcing Intimidator.

If it is the Snoopy Starlight Spectacular, I would suggest that it starts in the bridge and ends up in the country fair? Just a suggestion.
