There has been a lot of discussion lately in the coaster community about Weber cutting park hours of Six Flags now that he is COO. Does anyone remember what the park hours typically were for Carowinds back when it was owned by Paramount?

Any particular month or year you are looking for? I have a brochure for just about every year since 1995.

From what I can tell, most weekdays during the summer over the years have been 10am-8pm, with some Fridays and Saturdays being open 10-10. (The same as it has been for the 4 years Cedar Fair has had the park, next year they are expanding however)


One day I will scan in the rest of these brochures..

Yea I think for the most part the summer hours during the week were 10-8 and 10-10 on fri and sat. I do remember when at one point they were opened until 6....I dont remember when that was. It seems like maybe a year or 2 ago they closed at 6 for a while... maybe it was before going into summer hours or something. I am glad they will be extending hours next year I wish they would open earlier, or at least let SP holders in 30 min or 1 hour early, rather than 15min SOMETIMES...

On some Sundays there open from 10-10 and on most there open from 10-8 I wish they would put the hours from 9-9 or 10-10 most of summer...
