I believe we can be pretty confident of what will occupy the real estate by Intimidator for 2012 or 2013. CF probably made a multi year - multi unit deal with Mondial for one of these at each park, culminating in 3 or 4 years. We may get a reduced scale model, much the way Paramount opted for lesser sized Intimin drop towers... KI got the big one, KD got a smaller version and we got the basic mass market variety. I'm not saying this will necessarily happen here, but it could. Yes, I feel we will have one of these right beside Intimidator some day...

^ I kinda disagree a little bit here, I think we will get one, but i do not think it would be right next to the intimidator. I mean think about it would CF really install another 300ft tower just a stones throw away from the skytower? If we are to get one I think it would be where the yo yo sits, or somewhere in or near county fair area. Just my opinion.

sorry jordan you got yours in just before mine.

So is the WindSeeker going to be the next edition of "Park A in the chain got it, so every other park in the chain is now going to get it"?

I mean, yeah Cedar Fair bought four of them, and maybe they're planning on installing more of them at more of their parks if they turn out to be a success, but it's not guaranteed in any way, shape, or form.

No guarantee, but from a corporate buy standpoint, it would be wise to have built an option into the deal for more units provided there is success at the first four parks. They chose their most attended parks to start - wise choice - then others may follow. Agreed, I'd rather see it over where Yo-Yo sits, but I doubt they plan to remove or relocate the Yo-Yo anytime soon. Should the rides at the former Hard Rock/Freestyle Music park be auctioned and dispersed on an individual basis, CF will probably take a close look at what might be used in their parks. That nice big wave-swinger would sure sit nicely in our park! I would rather have a Giant Frisbee, as would most of us, but the Windseeker will probably be a nice thrill in and of itself...

Ok so this is off topic I know but I was reading the CP Forums the other day and it struck me so funny that someone in their said something about what people have against Intamin they thought that B&M were the unreliable coasters. I just thought that was one of the funniest things I've heard.

Its cool to see that they have poured the footer for the ride, I cant wait to see what it looks like. I dont think it would make much sense to put one of these at carowinds, considering it would be taller than any other ride in the park.... I would think keeping a coaster the tallest ride in the park would make more sense, but I dont know. I guess at one of the other parks its being put it, it may be the tallest ride, but here I just dont know why they would do that. Oh well, only the future will tell... I just hope they get rid of yo-yo, and put something worth being there in its place.

Canada's Wonderland and Knotts Berry Farm are both on track as well with their Windseeker construction.

In addition to these opening soon, there are also a few more addtions at some of the other Cedar Fair Parks:
(From Screamscape):

Canada's Wonderland-
2011 - Starlight Spectacular - (3/29/11) Canada’s Wonderland has announced they will add Starlight Spectacular for the park’s 30th Birthday this summer. They describe this version as, “a million dollar light and sound experience. This innovative show will dazzle the senses when the fountain dances in up to 16,000,000 colours and International Street glitters with 300,000 LED lights. The highlight of the show is an unprecedented display of animated effects and 3D images which will transform Wonder Mountain to a spectacular canvas of colours. June 25 through Labour Day.”

King's Dominion-
2011 - Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular - (11/24/10) KDFansite has posted that Kings Dominion will be adding Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular in 2011.

Michigan's Adventure-
2011 - Beach Party - (4/19/11) According to this news report, the new Beach Party attraction at Michigan’s Adventure will be ready to go when the rest of the waterpark section opens for the season on May 28th.
(11/12/10) Michigan’s Adventure will make an addition to the waterpark next season called Beach Party. It will be a large water fortress attraction from WhiteWater West that will feature a number of interactive elements as well as 8 new slides. Despite the photos used showing a typical water fortress with oblitory giant bucket full of water at the peak, the description claims that this one will feature something new, a powerful geyser (20” in diamter) that will shoot water over 90 feet into the air before it sprays back down on everyone.

Valleyfair!-
2011 - Planet Snoopy - (4/1/11) The old Dragon Coaster from Dorney Park being added this season has been given a new name. According to the listing on RCDB, the ride is now known as Cosmic Coaster.
(2/24/11) According to RCDB, Dorney Park’s old powered Dragon Coaster is now listed as being removed from Dorney and being sent to Valleyfair, where it shoudl be part of the new Planet Snoopy area.

Worlds Of Fun-
2011 - Planet Snoopy & Carousel - (11/11/10) Worlds of Fun has announced that the former carousel from Geauga Lake will be added to the park for the 2011 season, following it’s complete restoration. The 1926 Illions Supreme carousel features 64 jumping horses and two chariots is one of only five such carousels ever built and will be only one of two such rides still operating in the entire world. To make way the park has removed Festhaus, the park’s catering facility, but it will be rebuilt as a new permanent structure in 2011 as well.
(11/10/10) The Worlds of Fun blog is showing off some site clearing for something new, and promised that they would reveal what they are up to on Tuseday, but it never happened, so keep checking today and maybe they’ll spill the beans.
(8/11/10) Worlds of Fun announced a $5 million addition to the park next year called Planet Snoopy which will see 6 brand new rides added to the kiddie playland. This is actually a makeover of the existing Camp Snoopy area that will feature a new balloon ride, Rockin Tug, car / truck rides and more. Looks like the rumored new show theater idea was tossed however as there was no mention of it so far as a new attraction. Coverage of the big announcement ceremony can be found at MidWestInfoGuide.
