SFOG's Facebook page started posting clues as to their new attraction for 2011. It is rumored to be everything from a Tony Hawk's Big Spin to an Accelerator (Kingda Ka) and a GCI woodie on various sites. Thoughts?

I doubt the Intamin (Wouldn't mind if they proved me wrong, though). The GCI rumor is from the Facebook pic, but I think that's just a pic of them expanding their offices and what not.

I figure it's a big spin, and that's great to me!

It would be cool if this is what it was (since I like those coasters) but alas... it's something all coaster enthusiasts will like and it isn't very family friendly... ;)

Hummm...someone guessed eurofighter. Could it be the first launched one in america? Where exactly is this 2011 attraction going?

From Screamscape:

2011 - Tony Hawk’s Big Spin - Rumor - (7/24/10) I’m told that on August 8th, Shake, Rattle & Roll will close down for the rest of the season at SFOG. Construction barricades will go up blocking this area off, along with the old Freefall and Drive-In Theater site for the park’s 2011 project. Sounds pretty big… lets hope it’s something very cool. The area certainly is big enough for a Tony Hawk Big Spin coaster. Then again there is an interesting news item in Kentucky that may come into play here as well, though I hope not.

If that's the case, then I'm really going to love living 4 hours from oG next year. I couldn't have moved to the south at a better time (save for HRP/Freestyle closing and GTiTs not being open yet).

The Eurofighter track ties are a bit different than that pic. Someone on Buzz pointed out that Anubis: The Ride (A launched Gerst) has the same type of track ties (all pointing in the same direction).

Having said that...you know what else matches that type of track tie?

This.

And I'd love to have one of those 4 hours away.

I am eagerly awaiting the 2011 Season Pass announcement for Six Flags over Georgia. I think I'll be checking out a few of their parks this coming year.

Calling all daredevils. In 2011, Six Flags Over Georgia will introduce Dare Devil Dive,
a "euro fighter" coaster with an amazing drop that's BEYOND vertical.

Dare Devil Dive's mission begins as you're pulled straight up to the sky on a special vertical chain lift, then slowly roll to the top of the tower nearly 100-feet in the air. After an agonizing pause at the crest of the summit, you plummet downward at an angle that is beyond straight down — it actually angles inward at a blistering 52 mph.

Then you careen through a thrilling combination of diving loops while executing three inversions before you catch air on a zero gravity hill and swoop across the dreaded Immelman vertical U turn stretched high above the ground. The crescendo builds as the car dives toward the ground and up into a Heartline roll before being slowed by the magnetic brakes. Whew!

Dare Devil Dive will be the 11th coaster in Six Flags Over Georgia's already stellar coaster line-up.

Awesome! +1 for Jarvis. But this isn't the country's first beyond vertical dive...

Wonder if St Louis is getting something similiar?

P.S. looks like SFNE is getting SFKK's Mouse. I'll be at SFNE this weekend, so I'm glad that next year's addition is something I've already ridden so that I don't feel cheated ;).
