Is planet snoopy's rides open during Scarowinds????? Why every year around Scarowinds do they take out dog'ems bumper cars??

Because a few years ago, a Scaractor was chasing someone with a chainsaw, and the kid with them got scared and ran out into the Dodgem's arena and was crushed between two vehicles. Seriously. I was there and saw it. Gruesome.

But some people thought it was part of Scarowinds, so no one paid any attention for like 30 minutes. The kid died. Then the guy with the chainsaw went crazy and cut someone's arm off. T'was a terrible nite. You don't hear much about it, it was during the Paramount days, and they did a great job of keeping it out of the news.

I don't know if its removing the Dodgems so much as just putting the Arcade there. Since there is now a maze in the exit of the Action F/X Theater they had to put the multitude( ) of arcade games somewhere.

A few years ago they put some arcade games in the queue for WhiteWater Falls, and in the porch for Wings. They definitely looked out of place.

Why close a crowd favorite when you could put them somewhere else? Is there not space for them in or around the unused portion of the Action Theater?

Well, there are also staffing issues. Why run the bumper cars, which may or may not be popular during SCarowinds, and pay people to staff them, when you can just put the arcade in their, not pay anyone to staff it like you would the Bumper Cars, and still make money off the arcade, while saving money on staffing.

How did you make up such a great story I believed you at first until you said the guy with the chain saw cut someones arm off.......

Man I cant wait to go this year! I hope I can go this weekend and at least 3 other times. Sounds like everything is pretty the same this year, but I cant wait to go through Defex. As far as the bumper cars and them being closed, they are closed every year for the past few years. And why would the kiddie park be opened when scarowinds is recommended for 13+ (or is it 14+), whatever it is, obviously small children wouldnt be at Scarowinds, so what would be the point in having the kiddie rides open. I dont think the bumper cars are really a "crowd favorite" but I do think they are a great part of the park and the county fair section. I dont remember when the arcade games were in the white waterfalls station, thanks for sharing that J. Thanks for sharing all of the info on the mazes etc! Makes me more excited to go, I love Scarowinds.

It is recommended for 13+ and i plain on going to scarowinds October 17th 31st and maybe October 2nd
