General Carowinds discussion

Haha there's definitely nothing wrong with being homeschooled man. I have been for all of my life.

We're thinking of going to Carowinds this Saturday, but I'm draggin' along my little sisters too. My question is, do they close the park down a few hours before Scarowinds starts, or will the freaks start walking around later in the afternoon? (I mean that with all due respect to the people working at Scarowinds. )

Yes, they close the park down. You will have to exit as Scarowinds is a separate admission. Carowinds operating hours end at 5:30 and Scarowinds opens at 7.

I don't know if a thread could get any more off topic.

So for everybody who has gone this year, is it better than last year, worse than last year, or about the same?

I'm not sure. The houses were/could have been fun (some sent way too many thru at a time). Fangs wasn't that great. There was a severe lack of sliders. It has its moments, though.

My family liked it better this year.

I was able to make it out the 25th and even though it was way crowded my family and I had a blast. We got there around 10:30am and of coarse Nighthawk was out of the question by then. Intimidator's line was back way up as well but of coarse that line doesn't take too long. I got only 5 rides on it that whole day but the wait (spilling out of the queue line) was never more than 30 minutes. I absolutely love this ride. But anyways we headed to the back of the park and got an Afterburn ride before the crowds got too bad back there. Also rode everything else in that section before heading to Intimidator. There was tons of church groups for a Christian music thing. Now Scarowinds was a blast but I was getting so ill with all the immature people out there. We were going through the Hollywood themed maze when some kid who looked to be at least 18 had punched some kid who looked to be 11 repeatedly and busted his lip while they were in line. Not to mention while we were in line waiting for Defex some annoying young group was talking very dirty way loud and hitting my mom in the back with some lightsaber he bought. And in line for the Asylum these kids in front of us were talking annoyingly loud on cell phones and refused to move up when the line moved. Then my sis got smart with some teens in line pretty much eating each others faces and not paying attention to the line moving way up in the Hollywood maze line. That was all the mazes I did because I was more concerned with getting all the Intimidator rides I could get in before having to come back to England. Defex was my family and my favorite maze out of the one we went through. Oh and I finally got one ride on Nighthawk when Scarowinds started because we were able to get to it before the crowd lol.
