I hate to get off the topic of BORG but we all know how terribly slow Hurler was running last year. I did see it running some today although I have heard reports that it was down alot too.

Did anyone here get to ride it? Was it back to it's normal airtime filled self?

And did I hear someone say Thunder Road got seatbelts?? I knew it was coming sooner or later. I mean, when they put seatbelts on Scooby and Goldrusher.....it's just a matter of time.

Thunder Road indeed had seatbelts, the retractable variety that tend to get stuck often and make sure to kill the airtime. I don't mind the adjustable ones nearly as much - and if those can keep me in Georgia Cyclone, they can keep me in anything. Other than that though T-Road backwards was very smooth and had some decent airtime. The pothole before the turnaround is now gone.

Hurler broke down when I had just gotten in line for the second row. I watched it when we rode Drop Zone a bit and it certainly looked like it was going through the first turn at full steam. I also didn't hear any squealing as it was leaving the station. I'm hoping I wasn't just seeing things and that it is indeed faster this year. Hopefully tommorrow it'll be running and I can find out.

When did it break down when you were in line, I was there when they were running one train and it got stuck on the lift. This took place about 1:30.

When they got the train on the lift unstuck, I watched it go through the 1st turn and man it was soooo fast.

Bummer, no I wanted to ride Hurler and it was stuck so many times on the lift, then when I got back around to ride it they were running empty trains. Oh well, I'm going back out this afternoon woohoo :)

We got in line for the first row after riding BORG in the morning, and it broke down, so we did some other stuff, saw that they got it running again, and got back in line for the first row. We were on the train going up the lift hill, and it stopped.

It wasn't that bad though, I pulled out the camera and got some good shots of the park. When it did get going, it was FAST! lol I don't remember Hurler being such a good ride as it was yesterday. Only bad thing was the new seat belts, as they locked and took away some the good airtime. :D

Well it was running this morning when I went, and squealing like crazy EVERYWHERE. Sure enough, it was dog slow and devoid of much airtime. I'm guessing last night's rain washed the lubricant off the track, slowing it down a good bit from yesterday. They were running two trains today though. Dispatches are very slow, with the seatbelts seeming to be a major factor in that.

Hopefully it won't rain as much this year, and we can get some good hot stretches in the summer. Hurler seems to like it when it's hot, and if it's dry it can keep a bit of lube on the track for awhile. I think last year with it raining every other day they just gave up on lubing it much at all.

When we got in the line they were saying the hurler is experiencing delays or w/e but we ignored that and kept on goin. It was about 11:30 i think or maybe earlier...but anyway we got in the line and half the people up there left. They were taking one of the trains off of the track. I dont know why they did this. I guess there was not enough people to have 2 trains. O well it took about 15min and then we were on. It wasnt running to slow....not the fastest but pretty good

I rode the hurler and I was very worried because it was so bumpy. In my medical opinion this ride is unsafe to anyone with or without neck problems or leg cramps.

Yes I quite thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic masterpiece that is the Hurricane. It seemed smoother, cleaner, and more robust than the Hurler.

Well...

KenB I'm glad I didn't ride with you in the AM. lol

I rode that thing at about 2:00 Sunday, and wow! It was as fast in the back seat as it ever was! I mean, it was whipping me like there was no tomorrow, and I loved it!

Major air time all the way, it was so fast I couldn't believe it was the same Hurler everyone complained about last year.

Of course back seat always seems fast, you get the "whip" effect back there, that's why I like it there. Front seat almost always feels like some big giant is pulling on your back and pulling you backwards over the hills (his name is Mr. G). lol

Hey Twist, I saw you taking those pictures too.

You were so lucky, you were on the last train out of the station for about an hour... <_<
