^That was my guess on the height, as well. BGT is really bringing out the big guns on this ride. I can't wait to try it out on opening day next year, and I can't wait to see what the follow up at BGW in 2012 is going to be.

Yea, if there is problems, I am sure they will fix them swiftly. Likely will have problems being a new coaster of course, but just the thought of an intimin with multiple launches sounds like trouble  Still, from the videos, it looks like a great ride, I cant wait until they release the actual layout and specs of it. Maybe making a trip to tampa instead of atlanta next year....

^^From experience, I think that would be a wise option....lol Busch Gardens Tampa is on another level of theme parks vs. SFOG IMO. Plus with BGT, you can get your second day free or you can do Sea World Orlando and BGT for the price of one day. There are other packages you can look into as well. The drive to SeaWorld from the BGT area is only about 75 minutes, depending on traffic Also, if you dont feel like driving, they have shuttle service that's $10 round trip. All that info is on both parks websites.

As far as launch issues, hopefully they have improved from their previous experiences and worked the kinks out. I'm hoping to get by the park next month and get some pics of my own. Here is a pic of the area where the tower will go that's in clip # 3:

Cool, thanks for the info. I havent been to any parks other than KD and Carowinds, so its a whole new thing for me. I cant wait for the announcement of this, you said it was Oct 15th? I just want to see the layout and renderings etc. Hopefully a NoLimits Re-creation will be in the works soon as well... :D

Even though it is Intamin, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if they're using an LIM/LSM system, it'll likely be ready when they say it will be. Not saying it won't have breakdowns or issues, but I would almost expect it to be up and running at least.

And if you're going to drive down to Florida (not sure if you're driving/flying/training, etc.) hit up SFoG on the way down ;).

They still have two more preview videos to release on the next two Mondays, which would put the announcement some time after the 11th. I'm actually going to be at BGT on the 10th, hopefully I can report back with some pictures of the progress so far.

I wish I could stop at SFoG on the way down to florida! I guess it really depends on how the ebay biz is going. Right now going good so I just need to save up some $$$ to be able to travel. Oh well time will only tell on that. Two more mondays of videos...yay that means tomorrow a new one will be unlockable, cant wait to see it...

Announcement is next Wednesday, October 13 in the morning. They are doing it via Facebook. They will be announcing the new attractions for both BGT and Discovery Cove.

http://www.insidethemagic.net/2010/10/busch-gardens-tampa-bay-and-discovery-cove-will-use-social-media-to-announce-new-attractions/

Next week, during the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 13, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Discovery Cove in Orlando will both announce major new attractions coming to the parks in 2011.

Rather than during a press event, the parks will instead announce the new attractions on their Facebook pages first via video messages from the parks’ executives. Details, images and video footage will be shared with the media a short time later.

Busch Gardens is expected to announce a long-teased roller coaster called Cheetaka, while Discovery Cove will likely announce a new saltwater reef attraction.
