Their killing our operating days as usual. Park closees at 6pm on Fridays. Parks opening day is later every year. What happened to opening the 2nd weekend in March? So in 2012 opening day will be April 13th???

I do love some of the things CF is doing for Carowinds but other things make me really wonder.

Can we please bring Paramount back?

^ NO! Paramount is the last thing we need! Cedar Fair has done things for our park that Paramount never dreamed of doing. (Like giving us a trash can every 2 feet  )

He is right you know. Carowinds is open for public operation on april 2nd. 28-7=21 (febuary) Plus march (31) 21+31=52. Add on one for april 1st and you get 53 days until carowinds opens!!!!!

ok, I now see what he was trying to say. He said it is "not 54 days" and "not 84" so I didn't know what he thought it was. I guess he forgot to proofread.

I wonder how much longer Bart will write on that blackboard before it sinks in.

I wish the park was open on the "education" Fridays until 8 or 10pm, all Saturdays in April until 10pm, all Fridays in September and October, AND had an exclusive Season Passholder Only opening weekend in late March. Yes, I would like those changes, BUT I am VERY pleased that our park is now going to be open until 10pm during the peak summertime weeks, like ALL the other CF parks - I always wondered why, of all the CF parks I've visited, ours didn't have 10pm hours other than on Saturdays... we're finally in pace!

I, too, think that CF has taken Carowinds to new heights, no pun intended on Intimidator. Had Paramount kept the parks, we would only have a relocated Flight of Fear to show for the past 5 years, more than likely... now we can anticipate some more new arrivals with our own Windseaker in 2012 and maybe something great for the 40th anniversary in 2014, provided the future changes of top management don't adversely affect us. I seriously doubt anyone else would have done so well, so fast, as CF has...
