Carowinds announced its new 2011 firework show, Illuminations!

NEW NIGHTLY FIREWORKS SHOW TO LIGHT UP THE NIGHT

To add more excitement to the previously announced Snoopy’s Starlight Spectacular, Carowinds announces an impressive new fireworks show, called Illuminations, which will run nightly at 10pm from July 1 through August 7. Both of these exciting new nighttime entertainment offerings are highlighted by the extension of Carowinds’ operating hours till 10pm from June 27 – August 7.

I wonder how this will compare to Illuminations: Reflections of Earth?

Cedar Fair is taking a good turn towards a Disney resort style park, just like they said they were going to at Coasterstock.
The name could be changed though...

Disney is the standard of perfection when it comes to theme parks. Though possible, I don't ever see Cedar Fair reaching that standard.

Was looking at the Carowinds website today and noticed the fireworks now has a new name: Nights of Fire.

A place that could be viewed from around the park would be convenient. Since people are going to be gravitating towards the exit at that time of night anyways, a location in the "island" (the center of the park where Goldrush, Borg, and Vortex are located) would look fantastic with perhaps some lights or some type of "illumination" on the skytower.

Why am I picturing something akin to "Prep and Landing", but with lawyers instead of elves hitting a certain HQ in Sandusky? They had no chance versus "Cease and Desist".

I was thinking the same thing. I know when I was there on the July 4th, they closed Skytower and Rapids early. And the Season Pass parking lot was closed that day. That's a good question.
