This is from a random day at Carowinds this summer. Unsure of the date...

The character interaction is much better this year than any other year I've visited the park. I mean, seriously. Spontaneous hugs? I think yes.

It was my friend's first time on the ol' Assimilator. Though it gets increasingly bumpier each time I ride it, he thought it was wicked awesome.

ACTION SHOT.

In about 5 months I see something flamboyant here... Pink... Purple stripes... It's gonna be dope.

The ol' crotch rocket showing off some G's.

Former favorite coaster when I was a child... That spot has long been taken by the monster looming over it.

Thanks for posting. This made my day! I'm starting to have Carowinds off-season withdraws, and this helped a ton!

That's for sure. I vote they start keeping Carowinds open year round. All in favor say Aye.

You can say that again! Everywhere I look on the Internet, whether it is their Facebook page or any other topic about Carowinds people are asking for Winterfest. With our temperate climate I'm not sure why they don't bring it back. I can't imagine that they would loose money with it.

We went the first year and had tickets for the second year before they canceled it.

Im not trying to be a troll, but winterfest had MANY problems. While some of the rides were in operation during winterfest, the "cloldness" hurt the rides and forced the postponement of their opening dates.

It would take out a significant period of maintanace for the park, also if you take into account how cold winters are around here anymore and that you don't run B&M's below 40degrees you would have no Intimidator or afterburn, how fun would that be?

It's possible to spice up the park to an extent where most rides aren't a factor in the GP's entertainment.
