I bet iPad 2 will be even more - with more features. I was told not to expect a price drop on the originals because Apple is just like Disney - they don't like to drop product prices. I say, no one really knows what's going to happen; we'll see.
How are you? I haven't seen you here since the movie meet-up last year. Good to see you again, sir.

Yea we will see what happens with the price. I am doing good, how about you? I only saw you once at the park... when you were at the Intimadator at the end of the season. Another group was talking to you so I didn't get to say hey.

PhantomCat, based on almost every other product refresh by Apple - the new device's price will be the same as the old device - the old device will drop in price. Heh I made a rhyme.

Also, I saw you were talking about putting the bible on your iPad - this actually take less than a gigabyte to put several translations of the entire bible on. You can get it in the form of an app - it's pretty sweet.

I can see that you don't like to interrupt, but feel free to always poke your head in and say "Hi" to me. I haven't seen you in months. Did your dad like being at the movie meet-up? I sure enjoyed him. Tell him I'm going to adopt him as my dad too. Move over little brother...

I didn't know you were a hip hop artist too...
I had no idea there was an app for several translations. I'm so in love with the Good News Bible right now. It really made sense of the Old Testament for me. I sent the American Bible Society an e-mail about it's digital availability. They said it isn't out yet. Oh, well. The waiting game continues. I know I will be downloading the King James version though. I believe it's ready now.

Sidebar: King James did not write nor put the Bible together. A group of men approached the king for his permission to gather the ancient text for translating and to publish the book. King James gave his permission and probably funded them during the tedious process, but that's about all he had to do with it. Now, his name is forever printed on this version to distinguish it from all others. I want my name to go on like that. Man, I have got to become King!

Please Everyone...
Let's keep each other informed of all the new tablets and electric gadgets when they are released.

I'll be in charge of a new newsletter pretty soon. Does anyone know of a new, reliable inkjet or laser office printer?

It needs to:
Print on 11x17 paper
Print on both sides
Be able to stand alone and print from a SD card or flash drive
Print color and/or black and white pages

I used to like HP printers. Their older printers were good and I got good life from them (this was 10+ years ago). Anything I bought recently was junk (didn't last long) and it seemed their cartridges kept getting more and more expensive.

I'm currently using a Brother and I've been real happy with it. It has individual cartridges so you only replace them individually. I didn't see any printers on their site that do two-sided printing but they do all the other features that you need.

Another printer brand I've recommended to a few people is Kodak. They have marketed themselves as being quite a bit cheaper in ink costs. Everybody who bought one after I recommended it has been real happy with it. When I looked on their site I didn't see any that could handle 11 X 17 printing but they did all the other features that you need. My next printer will be a Kodak when it's time to replace my 3 year old Brother.

So I wrote all of that to really have no recommendation for you. :) The two brands I've had and seen the best luck with for the cost appear to only have 95% of the features you need.

Thanks Arby
I just got off the phone with Lexmark. They have no ink jets that print 11x17. Their cheapest discounted laser is $3,000. I told them I'm running a small newsletter not a giant office space...No Thank you.

Thanks for your advice.
I also know the lasting power of HP. Their printers last for an eternity - at least, the older ones have. I bought my first one two computers ago and it's still going strong. Maybe I should try them next.

Thanks so much for telling me about Brother- the company I'm not used to dealing with.
Yesterday, I went to Office Depot and asked about a printer to meet my needs. The man helping me (Paul Steele) was so nice. He said they only had one in the store that printed 11x17s and they had just put the demo on the floor earlier that same day. As it turns out, it's a Brother 6 in 1 that does far more than I need it to, for only $299. I love companies that not only gear to big business but also cater to the small business people working their way upward towards millions. I do believe this is the printer I'm going to get and I just may be the first to write a review. Here's a link to my new BF. Again I say, Thank You! http://www.brother-usa.com/MFC/ModelDet ... On Amazon, I see that they make other models for 11x17 printing as well, but this new one, the most expensive, has the longest warranty for 3 years. I'll have to look into it and compare. This new model may have bigger ink cartridges as well.

I've never had a 4 cartridge printer before. It appears that the print companies are going this way.
2 Questions:
How do you like having 4?
If the printer is out of yellow, will the other colors still work together to make it?

I like having four cartridges. Recently I changed the yellow and magenta but I still have about 10% of my cyan left. Now that you mention it, that is one caveat to my Brother printer. When I run out of one cartridge it won't print until I replace that cartridge. There is both good and bad to that. Anyway, I just keep an extra set on hand.

On Feb. 6, 2011
I witnessed, with my own eyes, several wooden crates with caution flyers stapled to them, roped off in each wing of the Charlotte AMC theaters on South Boulevard. The flyers read, "Do not attempt to install screens without first reading instructions." I did some probing and found out the theaters are about to install 6, 3D screens that are planned to be in full operation sometime in March.

I knew special projectors were used to show these films. I didn't know special screens were also used.
WOW! Looks like AMC is about to go high tech as 3D tries to takeover big and small screens alike.
