Insider info:
I talked to the woman who works with the applications. She said, "I'm the one who views the online applications and calls people in for their interviews. But during the opening season when hundreds of apps have been filled out online I don't call anyone. That is when they need to come on in and have their first interview."

It saves the office and you time when you fill-out the online app. When you get there, all they have to do is print it out and place it in the first interview stack. If you wait and fill out your app in the office, other people who have already filled it out will steadily move ahead of you.

Early season comers have been asked, what ride they'd like to work on? If you wait too long your choices will narrow, if you get a choice at all.

If you don't like the sun but still want to work rides, I suggest you ask to work the Boo Blasters/White Waterfall combination. B. Blasters is inside and W. Waterfall is covered by a roof with lots of relaxing water around. These are the only two attractions in the park where ride associates' shirts keep closest to their original brightness the whole season through. Another good combination is Thunder Road and the bumper cars because they are covered with large roofs. The Cobra and the very cool Goldrusher also share the same team, but at certain times during the day some of the shade at Cobra will flea as the sun rotates.

You would think, the Action Theater is a great choice to escape the sun. Nope! You will also be rotating among the Southern Star and The Yo Yo, with the latter two sitting directly in the sun.

Ask some more questions, I'd love to help...
But I will only take you but so far.
Carowinds hires hundreds of people each year. It's a fun place to work, and I do respect that!

Nope. You don't have to write a paper. Just go to Carowinds' website and look at the application. You are too funny.

I did have to fill out a detailed questioner in 2009 to work on the Intimidator last season. Because it was the newest, biggest, longest, fastest...they only wanted the best of the best workers over there.

You're hilarious. I can tell, working with you all day would be a fun experience. Just take care of yourself and you should be okay. All of my rides were in the sun for the last three seasons straight. At least you have the Action Theater to take refuge in from the heat.

You better get out there now if you want a job. Move it buddy!

Congratulations!
Have lots of fun in the park while on the clock and off of it.

I'm not sue why Ricochet was mentioned unless you have a choice to decide which you want. Ricochet is pared with the Carolina Cyclone.

Nice paramount! I filled out an app for an IS position at the pak. I am just waiting on a reply to the application, I suppose. Carowinds hiring process confuses me. Every other time i have applied its just said go in for a pre-screen interview, but I never hear anything after that. Will a department manager be calling me for this position or will I need a pre-screen interview like before? I probaly should call this week and check on the status. I have been checking the website everyday...

After you fill out the application, you need to do your Prescreen interview (its a walkin, just go in during their hours) After that they will call you, in my case they just gave me an interview the same day for rides. But you need to just go down there for you first interview.

You know you have a great chance of getting hired if they interview you twice in one day like they did with me. Wow! I went home honored and hired, and with the ride I wanted. This happened about four years ago.

OK, I thought maybe that was still the procedure, the site doesnt say that haha. It just says your application is under review or something. I will have to go up there sometime this week. Thanks for the info :D
