Last weekend I went to Carowinds with my family, and I had a great time.I can't wait to go back, but this weekend I'm heading out to King's Dominion with my son.I have season passes at Carowinds so I'll use those at King's Dominion.Living in Raleigh does have some advantages as I'm halfway between Carowinds and King's Dominion!!We booked a room, with an indoor pool of course, and plan on visiting the park on Saturday and visiting the historical sites on Sunday.Anybody else going to King's Dominion? :)

I'll be there sometime this year along with King's Island. I want to see the difference between thier new Scooby Doo and ours.
That is a pretty park up there for sure. I think it is a tad congested over by the Hurler but at the same time it's cool to see all the rides and listen to all the screams.

I went to PKD not too long ago. There is barely a difference between both Scooby Doos. I still wish I could ride Volcano since I was too much of a chicken to ride it when I disliked looping coasters. :(

When I was there both Volcano and Hypersonic XLC were broken. Imagine my luck!

The bobsled ride was really cool. I wish carowinds had one. It would be the perfect family coaster.

At least we were using season passes and didn't pay for the day. I think they were giving people rainchecks for another day though (Just like how they did it on opening day at PC).

I love that Bobsled. The one up at Cedar Point I don't like but King's Dominion's is cool and pretty fast for what it is.

Yeah, Disaster Transport is kinda slow and I like the seathing arrangement on Avalanche better (One across rather than two.)

I think he's speaking of the new Scooby's Haunted Mansion ride, not the Ghoster Coasters.

I think I may go to Kings Dominion this year. I've had a pass since 99' and have always wanted to but never gone. Scooby-Doo is whats new this year right?

When I'm in that area I normally make tracks for Busch Gardens, but Kings Dominion has a classic "retro park" feel to it. It is very well kept and is beautiful with all the fountains and the grand Eiffel Tower replica. Just a step above Carowinds in atmosphere.

Grizzly is awesome, Rebel Yell is like Thunder Road, Hypersonic XLC is cool but has the line, and I think Volcano:TBC is a great example of what Paramount could do with themeing. But, their Hurler is horrible compard to ours. :)

Might as well take the trip north about 1 1/2 hours to SixFlags America too. No atmosphere there, but great coasters....Superman(Hyper), Batwing (Flyer), Jokers Jinx (launched sitdown) Roar (great woodie)!

^ Don't forget Wild One; it's way better (my #5 wood) than Roar in my opinion :).

Yes SFA has some good coasters.

Looks like I'm heading to PKD and SFA again this summer.

I rode the mirror image of Superman at Six Flags Darien Lake. There's alot of straight track in that coaster, but you still get alot of air on the hills the coaster does have. You either love it alot of hate it alot, with everyone I have met there is nothing in between. I happen to like it alot even though it isn't as good as MF. I guess all Intamin hypes are good.

The bottom of the 1st drop is awesome how you go through the mist. After the 1st helix you can talk to your friend about it when you go through the straight section. Kinda like after the Goldrusher's 1st drop before the helix.
