What another beautiful day at the park today! The park was not as crowded as I had anticipated, although there was some 'festival of music' going on. Intimidator was running great and the wait times werent that bad! Had a great time and cant wait to go back in few weeks. Looksl ike i made it home just in time to, it started raining and hailing and it looks like Carowinds got wiped out as well! I hope if there was hail, nothing got damaged..

I thought that was the boardwalk, not Boomerang Bay.

I went through a puddle about a foot deep in front of Night Hawk leaving the park today. The skies emptied out pretty quick. There was about 3 times during the storm that golf ball sized hail started falling.

The park closed about at about 6, 2 hours before the scheduled closing time due to the current and forecasted conditions.

stories to come later perhaps. :)

Haha. I saw you guys at the entrace to the park at around 10am. Guess you were waiting on others like I was. And I think we saw you again in line for intimidator. I am just glad we left at the time we did (I think 4:30). At least they got the rides closed before the hail, could you imaging being on intimidator and a golf ball sized hail ball hit you... ouch...

^haha, that could do some severe damage! I rode once in pouring rain last year and my face was numb for almost an hour straight!

That was a scary experience. I have never seen hail that size before.
