When I think of a boardwalk, i think of it being next to the ocean or at least a body of water. How come there's no water in the Carolina boardwalk section?

Where would you like them to put a giant body of water? Or even a small one?

well i just think it was an odd place to put a section called Carolina Boardwalk when there was no water around it. It would have been better suited in an area of the park with water. just sayin'. It actually is a nice area of the park.

at one time carowinds had a river type pondd big enough for a boat. They actually had ferry rides and everything. I was a small tyke then. Perhaps that's where the idea for the boardwalk came from. Because like at the beach, the boardwalk is not on the beach but near it.

Hey look, it is the sternwheeler. Better not get that discussion going again... I still trying to figure how you get a goldrush and cyclone on a boardwalk. From what I remember of the boardwalk, it was easly the best themed area of the park.

Definitely one of the more idiotic things that Paramount mgmt did to the park. 1. Remove the Pirate Island section and all of the water that surrounded it. 2. Retheme the Frontier Outpost section into a Boardwalk section with no water to be seen! LOL. The theming of Carolina Boardwalk is half-attempted. The majority of the buildings still look like Frontier Outpost.

well paramount didnt make the decision to fill in the pond/lake until they accidentally damaged the sternwheeler trying to move it. Was unrepairable damage. So instead of forking out the cash to buy a new one. they decided to do away with it entirely.

That's not true, the sternwheeler was fixable, Carowinds wanted it repaired, Paramount refused to pay for.
