That's great! In my opinion, that park still looks too good to waste. The least they could do is salvage off everything of value then sell the land as it appreciates in value (the economy in N.O. is slowly getting better), but for some reason they've chosen to let it just sit there.

I remember passing by this park a few years before Katrina. Sad to see the park like this now. Luckily Six Flags has moved some of the park's rides to their other parks.

...The site was recently used to shoot some footage for a movie… They did some renovation on the entry way and turned it into bourbon street for a shoot that took several nights. The production had several condors with 12k hmi lights mounted and were shooting well into the night...
