OK so apparently kings island has started a "fast pass" idea. Honestly I think this is a horrible idea!! Do they seriously think that they can get people to waste $50 so that they can basically board the train RIGHT before the general publics.. but I could be wrong, what does errybody else think?

Also, I think this thing might spread around cedar fair.......hope not ughhh

I could see this being beneficial to those who have never been and want to make sure they get on all the rides, or maybe the families who are the "go once every few years" type. They are definitely not marketing it towards the season pass holders and people who go all the time. You have to think of it not from your home park perspective, but maybe to a park far away you were going to and probably wouldn't be going back to anytime soon.

50 bucks is steep though, you would think they would have some sort of tiering options like the Q-Bot.

I don't see this being too big a deal, only works from noon to 7pm, a limited number of wristbands are given out, and it can only be used on a very limited number of rides, 5 coasters (Diamondback, Beast, Firehawk, Flight of Fear, Stunt Coaster[lol]) and 5 non coasters (Drop Tower, Delirium, Windseeker, Boo Blasters, Log Flume).

Should be interesting to see how it turns out.

50 is very steep for 10 rides, I wouldnt buy a q-bot at Dollywood. I think it would have been 30 for two, and the park only got busy after twoish.

I have to agree that I hope it does not spread to other Cedar Fair parks. This just sounds like the Flash Pass system at Six Flags and I hate it. It slows down the regular line so badly.

There is no evidence that flashpass slows down the regular line so badly. Poor operations do, but FOL access doesn't.

I hope they roll it out. You guys need to remember, these parks are businesses and the point is to make money. I'd rather them offer something like this to people willing to pay for it than to try and make money by charging higher admission and/or food prices going up.

Reports from Kings Island at this point are saying that it isn't affecting the lines, so they probably are implementing it the best way they can. WIth the new CEO coming from Disney, I figure the first big change you'll see is either FOL access or Queue Management come to the CF Parks. And it's way over due.

While I would never use it if it came to Carowinds, I had absolutely no problem paying the $46 for the Flashpass at Six Flags New England. As was stated, if it is a park far away that I will probably never visit again, then it is worth it. I have no problem if they do get it. It is limited quantity anyway. With the hours being from 12-7, that is generally around the time I leave the park if it is too hot.
