Windseeker???? No Thanks. Putting something like that in front of Intimidator, and across from the Skytower would be to much. Even if the Windseeker was a smaller version like 150 to 200ft, it still would not look right in the park.
This new attraction has to be a Screaming Swing 32 themed to (Wright Brothers)

Even though I'm not a Nascar fan, I think it was brilliant bringing a racing themed ride and area to the park since a vast majority of the Nascar teams are headquartered in the Charlotte Metro area. Plus, the Nascar HoF is here. They would be missing out in a great marketing opportunity by not keeping that field around Intimidator themed towards racing.

The Wright Bros theme does fit into other areas of the park, so I can see it going somewhere else. Whatever 'it' is, it will be a great and needed addition to the park.

Since they now have extra land and it is most likely around the main entrance to the park, they can easily expand parking in the future as needed. With that being said, I wouldn't be surprised to see some of that parking lot by TR turned into a park expansion.

Wouldn't a windseeker eclipse the height of the skytower? I mean would they really want to do that? The skytower is pretty iconic for being the tallest thing in the park, I figure they wouldn't wanna take that away from such an old and well known ride.

Keep in mind, Carowinds hasn't said that Windseeker will go by The Intimidator, just because theirs free space there, doesnt mean thats where it will go.

Also, keep in mind that marketing has hinted that there would be QR codes placed strategically around the park itself, not just online. If that's true, no one has seemed to pick up on that yet. I have doubts that this coy little campaign targeted (so far) exclusively for this forum is over.

I don't buy this Windseeker business for a second, for multiple reasons, some of them well stated here already.

But will I be disappointed otherwise? Yes.

As I went into the park today I was thinking. what about changing the movie in action theater? Spongebob is overdue and needs replacing. Dont know about having a Write Brothers themed film in the action theater though. Doesnt really seem like you can make that much of a thrill since the Write Flyer went like 300 feet on its first flight lol.

I think we are missing what is REALLY coming next year. Not one coaster, but TWO. The Wright Brothers glider plane had two large wings. It was rather gentle and graceful. Sounds like a butterfly? We already have one twin coaster so why not another twin coaster. Something new and original for the states. Something close to the same size as the 1902 plane. That all adds up to a pair of Heege Freizeittechnik Butterfly shuttle coasters.

Why in the world would they build a Windseeker right across from the Sky Tower? They're virtually the same thing. Doesn't seem likely to me.

I'm really hoping this was complete and total sarcasm, but in the meantime what clues have pointed to any hint of a Wright brothers themed ride? And since when has Cedar Fair even shown the slightest hint of caring about NC history?! Carolina Cobra? Why not copperhead or something thats not indigenous to AFRICA? Intimidator? Yeah, I guess that's slightly NC related, but why not something related to southern NASCAR history as a whole? Really the best they've done to show they care is not changing the ride names of Thunder Road and Whitewater Falls.

Why would they change Thunder Road or Whitewater, they aren't licensed by an outside company.
