Why in the world would they build a Windseeker right across from the Sky Tower? They're virtually the same thing. Doesn't seem likely to me.

They never said they would build it by intimidator, your just assuming that. A Windseeker can fit basically any where in the park.

I was referring to people thinking it would be built in that empty field in front of the Intimidator. I'm sure it would fit, I just think it would look dumb to have a Sky tower and a Windseeker right next to each other.

We learned at CoasterStock that Spongebob has a contract through next year. Nice guess, but incorrect.

I guess we have to watch Spongebob chase that pickle for at least one more year lol

I was checking out the latest update on Screamscape and I noticed Lance had this to say on the 'Worlds of Fun' page:

The rumor for the past few weeks was that Cedar Fair has purchased two or three more Windseeker rides for the parks in 2012. I already highlighted Kings Dominion as one of the most likely homes, but it seems that Worlds of Fun is also very high on the list to get one.

Lance lives in the Charlotte area and Carowinds is his home park. With a new attraction coming in 2012, curious he did not mention our park as getting one.

If Cedar Fair did indeed purchase more Windseekers, I am sure Carowinds would be one to get it as well. It would be cool to have a Windseeker with a theme involved in it.

For those pushing for a waterpark expansion. Be careful what you wish for. A major expansion to the waterpark could yield the beginning of a Soak City of the South meaning separate admission.

Im not sure about that. Carowinds was the first to have the main park and the water park under the same admission price. I dont think Carowinds would suddenly charge admission after being the first to make it the same. Plus Soak City is across the road from Knott's and not connected to the park.

Not like Knotts, like Cedar Point. Cedar Fair hasnt hidden the fact they want Carowinds to be the Cedar Point of the South

I do not mind the idea of a windseeker, but I would hate to see it in intimidator's field. When I drive down interstate 77, I love seeing that beautiful lift hill rise above everything in the park (excluding the skytower). However, a 302ft tower right in front of the hill will make intimidator smaller than what it is. I say a windseeker would be nice somewhere near thunderroad, considering it will space the 3 towers out evenly.

^I completely agree! The only place a windseeker will actually look good is back near afterburn/thunder road. If they put it anywhere else in the park, it will be too close to either the skytower or drop zone and it will make the area look crowded.

And if they put it in the field area, it will also dwarf Intimidator, taking away the visual attraction you get from seeing it on the highway. Which attracts the general public who drive by on a daily basis.
