Ok so most people up here know that I am planning my first trip to Cedar Point August 8th and 9th. Well I have a few questions. My sister and I both have Platinum Passes, but my sisters bf is coming with us as well and he doesn't. I'm trying to find the best deal in getting him into the park. He is military so I was debating if military would be cheaper than a 2 day admission and at CP the 2 day admission is cheaper and at KI the military discount is cheaper. However I remembered that at KD you get everyday bring a guest savings, but at Carowinds you have the certain day bring a guest discounts. I was looking at the CP site and didn't see anything about bring a guest discounts. Am I looking in the wrong place or do they just not have the bring a friend? Another question is the Platinum Pass benifits limited to the park that you got them at? I know you can get into all the parks but do you get all the benifits they offer. I ask this because KI site confuses me because it tells the parks you get into with the pass but then it says if you bought your pass from KI then you get the gold pass benefits as well. Also I didn't see anything about CP offering free parking like Carowinds and KD offers. I think that is all the questions I have for now. Thanks for any help. And if anyone knows of any way cheaper than the 2 ways I mentioned please let me know. We are trying to get him the best deal.

Your platinum pass offers all benefits that any Cedar Fair park has to offer, including free parking and at Cedar Point you have 1 hour of extra ride time before the park opens to the general public. The rides that are included on this ERT is Millennium Force, Mavrick, Raptor. Of course your friend cant get this ERT without a platinum pass.

Sorry for the double post but I have been kind of nervous about something. So I know this is going to sound like a funny question from someone who loves coasters so much but anyway. Im emetophobic which is the phobia or vomiting. I tend to get nervous when riding a new coaster I have never done before. I have never been sick on any roller coaster nor even felt sick on any that I have been on (I can't do flats though because they do make me sick) but I have never ridden one as fast or high or steep as some of the ones at Cedar Point. I have ridden all the rides at Carowinds except for Cobra because I am scared that will make me sick. I have also ridden all the rides at KD except for I305 because I was nervous with my heart palps that it would effect that. Which I have now learned I should be fine to do that one. I have ridden all the rides at Busch Gardens except Griffon because I was scared of getting sick on the first hill. I plan to ride it this year though. I have gotten more brave with my phobia on rides because I have tried so hard to convince myself that I will not get sick lol. I also am on prescription nausea meds and I take one an hour before going to the parks just to reassure myself. I have tried to do research on this but I am not finding anything useful so I am hoping by asking people that have ridden the rides themselves would be able to tell me if I can do this than I should be fine on that. So far I have only gotten sick on the scrambler because I avoid carnival type rides at all cost. And I have gotten nauseous riding Intimidator at Carowinds once but I blame that on the fact that I didn't wear sunscreen at the beach the day beforehand and I was boarderline sun poisoned and then I spent over 10 hours at the park because it was Scarowinds and it was over 90 degrees that day. Anyways any feedback would be nice. It's a horrible phobia to have lol especially with my love for coasters lol.

I would not worry about the coasters at Cedar Point making you sick. Carowinds has more inversions than Cedar Point. Millennium Force will be intimidating because of its size, but it's a smooth ride with about half the airtime of Intimidator. So if airtime gets you sick, that should not be a problem. Mavrick will not be too intimidating because of its small height of 105 feet. It will toss you around though so dont eat anything before you go on that one. Top Thrill Dragster will be the most intimidating one of all for obvious reasons. I never get scared on coasters, but after I road it my hands were shaking. However I would not worry because the ride is over so fast I dont think you will get sick. You have to do it though because you will regret it if you dont. It's the most insane 17 seconds of your life. Hope this all helps.

P.S. Dont forget to wait for front row!

Thanks so much. Yea airtime doesn't bother me I absolutely love it. Especially on B&Ms because I love to just throw my arms and legs up and let it take me out of my seat lol. It's an addicting and amazing feeling. It's the constant spinning of flats that get me. I can't do swing rides or scrambler, gravitrons, or even the boat. So for that very reason I avoid Drop towers and am not even thinking of Windseeker lol. I was more worried of the speed getting to me because I have never ridden anything that fast before. It takes alot to actually make me throw up, and the only time I have ever been sick is when I have a stomach virus. This year is the first year I have actually gotten past my phobia enough to try the front seat, and now it is my favorite seat on Intimidator (except when the bug hit me in the eye the last time I rode it). I plan to do Millennium Force in the front seat and really want to do TTD in the front row as well. I know I will regret it if I don't because I regret not riding Hypersonic while I had a chance. But my bf at the time knew about my phobia and he was too chicken to ride it so he made me scared as well by telling me I would probably get sick on it because of the angle and that was all it took was the possibility of throwing up. I'm going to take my meds as usual and I never eat until I have rode everything in the park at least once because food does a toll on me anyways because I have a kink in my stomach.

Ok sorry for the double post again, but I have one last question. I was reading that certain rides like Millennium Force doesn't have bins for loose articles so you have to get a locker. Well I remember back when Carowinds said that about Nighthawk, but they had bins so you never needed a locker. I ask this because I like to have my bags with me at all times for my meds and I check my phone constantly between rides because my husband is deployed so it's rare to hear from him. So I guess simply put Do they really not have bins or do they just say that to make you waste money on a locker?

It is true that Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster do NOT have bins. The reason for this is because they have a load and unload station, so you get on and off at different spots. The lockers are one time use and I think they are $2 per use. What I did was stuff all of my stuff, including my bag into my pockets. As long as it doesnt prevent your lap bar from going down properly, you will be fine. Oh I can't remember if you said you were going to Kings Island or not, but there are lockers for Flight of Fear and Firehawk. You can take your bag onto Flight of Fear, and just put it on the floor. Firehawk you will need to get a locker.

I'm actually going to Cedar Point tomorrow morning. What are the lines like for rides in the afternoon/evening on a weekday? I also have 1 hour early entry. What should I use that time for?
#46742
Ok thanks. We usually carry a small backpack with us for everything we need all day since we are girls and dont have big pockets lol. So I guess it would be worth it to invest in a locker for the day because I don't see me wanting to keep paying 2 dollars to use a locker everytime I want to ride those 2 rides.

Lines are not terrible during those times, but dont expect walk ons like Carowinds has during the weekends. I would use that ERT for Millennium Force front row. That should be about a 30 min wait for front.
