You would easily be able to see downtown Charlotte. You can see it from Intimidator.

Calm down pickles. You'll get the same postage stamp view of Charlotte, warehouses, the parking lot, and I-77 that we've been getting from the Skytower for decades.

Yeah but I dont usually ride the Skytower. I would ride the to be named Windseeker about every time I go to Carowinds.

Not for that long of a ride anyway, it would be intersting to be 200ft+ above the ground on your stomach though, i mean being however high the skyflyer is is pretty awesome and its not horribly uncomfortable in those flight suits I guess.... dang only 5 more days and we will know what we are getting... :D

I mean do you ever get uncomfortable on Nighthawk when you are hanging? I dont. 3 minutes of that would be interesting.

Yes nighthawk is the most uncomfortable P.O.S. I have ever been on, thats why I RARELY ride the thing. I didnt eve nride it during ERT @ coasterstock.

Oh wow. I personally feel fine strapped into Nighthawk. I do agree that Nighthawk is rough for a steel, but the overall feeling of being in the flying position doesn't bother me.

Well... You are not hanging the whole time while riding Nighthawk. The lift hill, inversions, brakes... I am sure the total is not 3 mins. Why are we even talking about this? Its not going to happen

This is what im thinking....were going to get a Windseeker this year (maybe another flat ride, only because we do lack some) and next year I see us getting a Giga....The reason I say this is because....it seems all their parks got a Hyper now. Now im noticing CF parks are getting Gigas....so to me it makes since...the question is, where the hell they going to put a Giga? I see a bonfire coming :)

I doubt it, notice that KD got a giga not a hyper. CW is getting a giga but is the most attended seasonal park in North America.

I do not see us getting a Giga coaster for a while now. Even though it would be cool I think the next coaster we get will be either a GCI woody, an Intamin launcher, a Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter, a B&M floorless Dive Machine, an Intamin Mega Light or a B&M Wing Coaster before a giga coaster. Just makes more sense to me to get one of those first. We do need a good flat ride before a coaster though in reality. Was at the park today. Did not see anything as far as markers or construction but I was with my brother's family and spent my focus on my young nephews so could have easily missed something.

Cedar Fair is attempting to make us the Cedar Point of the South so Giga sounds right in the next few years.

The Millennium Flyers, or is the Gravity Group that makes those?

Some people taking that "Cedar Point of the South" a little too literally. I could seriously not be rolling my eyes any harder at the prospect of giga coming to Carowinds.

There is also no reason that Millennium Flyers would be put on Thunder Road. GCI has retracked tons of coasters, and none of them have ever been retrofitted with Flyers.

I doubt changing the trains on Thunder Road would help the ride. Now, I say this with a grain of salt: The GCI rebuild of Thunder Road from my experience hasn't made it any smoother, it made it rougher. However, my experience is based on only one ride on one day. I do know for a fact that seating, temperature, humidity and weather conditions have a Major effect o smoothness of woodies so I will hold my opinion of Thunder Road to the 2006 opinion until I get more rides in other conditions. Just to note, I was in the last car. However Hurler was riding great, the trim seemed to No effect at all, I normally ride in the front 3 cars. Hurler likes a wet cold day.
