If this is true, the location shown is certainly better than the field in front of Intimidator. Maybe those stakes did mean that the current 5 year plan includes a Huss Giant Wheel in that field in the next couple of years.

You will recall that Bart said they always have a five year plan although sometimes it changes depending on a variety of factors. They might have been trying to build some hype (and see what the response is) for future plans.

^ definately a possibility. Anything is possible. I wouldnt be surprised if the GCI meant something as well (for the future) but you never know. I guess we will just have to wait and see, but if we ever get a GCI it better be like thunderhead, that is the best wooden coaster I have ridden!

I think i posted a pic like this a LONG time ago when I was speculating about a windseeker where yo yo is (when I asked Carowinds when they were going to remove yo yo  ) but anyways, if you ask me, this area is big enough for the ride..

If you look at the areal shots of the ride you can see a certain angel of Intimidator. Yo-Yo is not the spot WS is going because the view would be different. Here are some places I think they might go based on the leaked pictures.

Ya'll know Cedar Point's is by the lake, if we are South Cedar Point then ours will be by the lake. Just a wisecrack by RollerNut, I am still trying to figure how 301 feet is the tallest ride in Carowinds history when Skytower is 340 feet tall.

Hold the phone, Carowinds.com now says Skytower is 262 feet tall not the 340 it has always been listed as. Maybe 340 includes the flagpole.

You havent even seen shots from an aerial perspective so how do you know that it wont go in county fair based off one animation picture, that has been leaked and not even 100% verified.... Oh well, we will all know is 12.5hr. I really hope its in country fair though because that area needs some kind of BIG attraction...

Hmmm I wonder why they have changed it to 262? Is that the height the cabin hits and then there is another 30ft to the tower and then the flag pole  Interesting.... I guess they want to make sure that the FACTS are true when they say this is the tallest ride carowinds has built..... Man there is a lot of controversy of the heights of attractions lol. I am starting to think intimidator is only 200ft

:D good idea LOL I know the recording in the sky tower always said 320ft high so I dont know, that confuses me greatly but oh well. If we are getting a 300ft tall swing thing then I am OK with that, the only time I was 300ft up was on I-305 so I would like to see the view from that high, for a little longer than I saw some trees on I-305...

When's the last time you saw 340' tape measure.

The height of the Skytower being over 300 feet is with the height of the flag poll. The new height indicated for the Skytower is how high the observation deck gets.
