The 2011 Golden Ticket Awards have been announced this weekend. Personally I dont listen to them since I can't believe a ranking system where Intimidator is ranked so much lower than Diamondback when Intimidator is a much better ride and how magnum XL 200 is in the top 10 when its not even close to my top 20 due to the pain. Also how Raptor is ranked #18 when Afterburn isnt ranked in the top 50 but is a much better coaster. What do you guys think of the rankings?

To each his own. My top 5 are Bizarro, Magnum, Diamondback, Apollo's Chariot, Intimidator.

What I don't understand is how Nitro finishes so high. It's a great ride, but Diamondback and Intimidator are far superior IMO. Golden Tickets have always been a bit odd, though.

My top 5 are Millennium Force, Intimidator, Top Thrill Dragster, Beast, X2. I am yet to ride Bizarro or Apollo's Chariot. I also notice that in these awards that once something gets the top spot, it stays there forever. Cedar Point is a good park but its not the best park in the world. Personally my favorite park is Disneyland.

Hypersonic

Wood?
El Toro
Voyage
Boulder Dash
Phoenix
Swamp Fox

But (New) Texas Giant and El Toro (and I'll squeak Phantom's Revenge in too) are in a league of their own. Voyage is too, but it's a ways away from those top three for me.
