I arrived at Scarowinds around 7:30 ish, the SP lot filled up rather quickly I must say for a Friday, but after reading iballs TR I guess it was a bring a friend for $20 night and I didnt know that. Anyway, Intimidator was closed most of the night due to high winds so we just went through the mazes. The mazes are the same as usual, actors are not to into it on most and arent very intense. I must say I am always disappointed when walking around, especially in areas like around Cobra, there is just NO THEMEING at all. Its plain and boring. There were hardly any scaracters on the walkways and its just not very themed. It just seems like each year they slack a little more. There were a couple of new items, like the psychic reading or whatever and some new themeing items here and there but the lack of theming is immense. We did all of the mazes except Dead Inn. I really liked the new location of Camp Killauee and was VERY surprised there was no line at all. I actually enjoyed walking through the "woods" to get to the actual maze. So other than the mazes, we didnt ride any coasters, except intimidator as it opened at 11 and we were actually about to leave but saw it was running so of course we had to hit it. Also, FOX NEWS was there and they were doing I guess a segment in the field of intimidator. It was cool to see them there and everything. I got a video of them, but I cant seem to find my fricking camera.... I will upload if I find it... Other than the lack of theming and everything, hopefully it will get better (doubtful) it was a decent night at the park anyway.

From what I could tell they were just doing a segment at the park, probably just to promote the event or something? I know when they were shooting they would lay down on the ground beside the car and then sit up and they would say something, not sure what, but it was fun to watch. Later on in the night when intimidator opened, there were more scaracters over in the field and I think they let some guests out there as well.... I got some of it on video but I have lost my video cam (not at carowinds) I cant find it anywhere..... I tried to find the segment online but I don't know where it would be. I guess its part of fox news edge but I am not sure. If I come across it I will post a link...

They recorded their friday night live show live from Scarowinds I guess like you said to promote the event. This is the entire show, well at least the parts that shows Scarowinds from Friday night.

Awesome! Thanks for the link. I didnt see the part where they interviewed brynn and the crowd, guess we missed that hahah. It was still cool to see them there.
