The Southern Star usually has a 1 cycle wait before you board. That ride alone holds 50 people.
Windseeker(64 riders), more than likely will be the same. Maybe a 2 cycle wait? Who knows.I'm just excited to see how that whole area will be transformed. :)

Thats because no one wants to ride that pos...lol

From the tour I took, I think construction is going to begin in either November or December.

Haha, that site is fantastic. So from the looks of the plans, at the top of the swings is 279' so riders will actually be swinging at like 265ft high or so (give or take with the 45* swing and all that, not good at doing the math for that. I was curious to know what the actual height would be of the swings (where we will be sitting) so this is cool to see.

I rode Windseeker at KI this past weekend and it is a great family ride. This ride is certainly something that Carowinds needs and it looks super great at night.

By the way, here is a picture that I took of it at night. It will bring some new color to the skyline at night.

I rode the one at Cedar Point last month and can pretty much attest all the same stuff. It wasn't "thrilling" but it was "fun." Kind of mixed on the lighting scheme though, it kind of looked like a tacky Las Vegas marquee. Would have looked better a bit 'toned' down in my opinion.

Windseeker?

As for my pics.. if I show one before Thanksgiving consider yourselves lucky. :?

the redneck capital is pretty much directly outside mecklinberg so probably a lot knowing windseeker will be in york

I think that as long as carowinds decides to keep windseeker's lights only on when it get to be after dusk, then they will be great with the skyline......(the other option being, only turn windseeker's lights on during snoopy starlight spectacular )

I also wonder how the rivalry with windseeker and carolina skytower will begin hahaha!
