I think that as long as carowinds decides to keep windseeker's lights only on when it get to be after dusk, then they will be great with the skyline......(the other option being, only turn windseeker's lights on during snoopy starlight spectacular )

Since the other Windseekers have their lights on at night (Even when Windseeker wasn't open and was in the testing phase) I would imagine that Carowinds' will do the same. There will just be a special lighting programming on Windseeker when it is part of SSS. Anyone know what the other parks with Windseeker do during their haunts? If they do anything different at all.

The picture I posted previously was taking during the KI Halloween Haunt, and it looked like the standard lighting scheme. I suspect Carowinds will do the same and run it as normal during Scarowinds.

Yeah that is what it looked like when I visited Kings Island. Still very excited for Windseeker. Hopefully there is no late opening this time around.

If anybody has checked the webcam lately, it seems as though they are beginning to drain nighthawk's lake.....or, at least I think so, its kind of hard to tell.

I keep forgetting to check the cam when i get home. I just started a new job and right now i dont get home until around 7pm. I wouldn't be surprised if the lake isn't already drained, which I am sure they do every off season anyway, but I would think that they would be getting some dirt in really soon to start construction. I wonder who won the bid for the construction? Cant wait to see the construction... hmmmm offseason construction tour....

looking at the webcam, it appears clearing may have begun for windseeker.

Carowinds posted a few pics on their Facebook.

Apparently the trees with pink ribbons are where Windseeker will be.

I dont think they had to cut the trees down, thought it would add another element to the ride. oh well.

Construction confirmed! They're clearing out the area, it kind of looks like they drained the lake a few feet too.
