We were talking about this in business class today. Just because they filed chapter 11 bankrupsy does not mean they are going to shut down. Some companies are able to use bankrupsy to get out of debt, and get out of bankrupsy before closing down.

^correct , dont know why this was even a rumor being started? I dont think dippin dots are goin anywhere.... until i see a message from carowinds, I will not believe its going anywhere either.

Will Carowinds really issue a press release to announce the farewell of Dippin Dots?

Most companies who file for Chapter 11 continue to operate and some of them come out of it stronger. Some examples of companies who have been through Chapter 11 are Chrysler, Chuck E Cheese, Friendly's, and Fuddruckers. All of them are still in business.

That doesn't mean that Dippin Dots is going to make it, but I think they will still be around for some time. I personally think their ice cream isn't that great for the price (I'd rather pay a premium for Brusters or Cold Stone Creamery which both have better ice cream) but we have them on occasion. We'd have them more often if the price was lower.

I still see Dippin Dots at William's Brice Stadium. Don't think they are going away from Carowinds either lol.
