I am planning another trip up to Cedar Point this summer. Last year I noticed a lot of billboards for the Thirsty Pony. Anyone been there? If so, what did you think of it?

It's just a mediocre bar and restaurant... seems like a tourist place. I lived a 5 minute walk away for 3 months and went there a grand total of once.

Best local joints in Sandusky are:

Hands down the best place ever. I been there 3 times. The food there beats anything you have ever eaten. Get the wings and the Fricken Pizza. Heh play keno, video horse racing, bowling, laser tag, etc.

Actually, I have seen a lot of reviews online saying that the food is real good. I have also seen several saying it's just okay as well. I wanted to see what you guy's personal experiences have been.

I went once when I went to CP last summer and it was pretty good. I had a burger which was really delicious and we also had fried pickles yum lol. I wouldn't say the food is the best I have had but it was pretty good. The place was really expensive though and not sure it was worth what we paid. I'd say the TGI Fridays down the road is better lol.

If places like Applebees, Olive Garden, and TGIFridays are On your list of favorite restaurants, you'll probably like it. If you like local favorites like local pubs, bistros, etc, then it'll probably be meh. Either way I highly doubt it's the best food ever.
