Well Rocky Mountain Coasters has said that 2013 will be a big year for them. Sounds like most likely they will have multiple projects with hopefully Son of Beast being one of them.

Exactly. Look at how many times Hercules was "fixed" and it was eventually tore down. There's at least two GCIs in all that wood that was used for that SOB. Its really an eyesore now. Just forget about it and move on.

Having ridden New Texas Giant, I will say that if they did that drastic of a change to SoB, it could be good, but that would be the only fix I could think of to increase ridership.

If they reprofiled the first drop to be steeper, then added a double up into the top of the helix, then made the tops of the first helix into overbanks, then shortened the MCBR, dropped it down, added an airtime hill, put the loop back in, reprofiled the 2nd helix to have overbanked turns, then reprofiled the last few hills/turns to give more airtime, I think the ride could potentially be at least decent. I know the layout doesn't give much chance of a major change, but it could be made to be at least kind of fun.

Oh no, not here too. :( for the people who are trying to fix this, please get over SOB, he's "dead" and has been for going on four seasons. If KI wanted to do something with him, I think they would have did it by now.
