I just visited Carowinds for the first time this past Saturday (April 7th and 8th) and we got fast lane on the 7th.

And wow... The system is jacked up... Coming from Kings Island and working fastlane Carowinds has ALOT to work out to make it work.

By passing the line on Hurler, Carolina Cyclone, Vortex, and Afterburn was down right embarrassing and awkward for my group. Fastlane should not be given free range of the entire train like they do on all 4 of these rides. They should merge with a slightly empty station like they do at Intimidator.

That's how KI does it and I can only imagine the conflict the regular queue is going to have with the fast lane people.

Hi, I just heard about the fast lane pass, I cannot find anywhere how much it is, but my 5 year old son is going for the first time this weekend. We wont be doing any coasters, so is it worth it?

The only fast pass ride my 5 year old can ride is BOO Blasters. There are few rides outside of Planet Snoopy if he is less then 48" tall that he can ride.

If you head straight to Boo Blasters when the park opens, there shouldn't be much of a line. A majority of the crowd is heading to Nighthawk and Intimidator anyway.

The system is just totally fouled up & should be removed from the parks entirely.

The idea is not good at all as the parks in the chain were all doing fine without it for years until this came along.

Went to Carowinds today and noticed big changes in the Fast Lane system. Before the line was effected because many of the rides, the Fast Lane users went to the very front and selected where on the train they wanted. Almost always they selected the front row, so if you were in line for front row, you almost always got screwed over. However now most of the rides, the Fast Lane line takes you right to the station. As a result the lines for selecting what row you want is no longer effected. Well done Carowinds on making the Fast Lane system more fair to the regular guests.

From what I remember at Universal, Busch Gardens, etc. you go near the front of the line and merge in - or the attendants merge you in manually. So you still end up waiting a few minutes in the station or near the front of the line, but it keeps the main line moving too and makes it less obvious. Hopefully Carowinds will modify their system to be similar.

They have. Just look at the post I posted above your comment. I just hope all the Cedar Fair parks have their Fast Lane set up like this.
