General Carowinds discussion

Makes me wonder.

When my GF & I were at KD back on may 5th someone stole her camera out of the bin on anaconda & the ride op found the case on the station floor near the control booth.I'm starting to wonder if the op there stole it after all after reading about this incident at carowinds.

I'm gonna start wearing mine more often & just using the all day lockers near the front of the park.

I cant count how many times we found cell phones on afterburn. I loved seeing them in the mist tunnel completely mangled cause they hit concrete. Thats why you are supposed to secure your items lol

1) Her name -- someone help with how to pronounce that?

2) The last paragraph, why would you have a laptop, and an iPad with you at an amusement park?

The laptop and iPad were in a car in the parking lot. That's not unusual to me.

That's why mine stays in my fanny pack....which I've now decided to just keep on at all times as I'm sure I can just turn it sideways so as to make it fit safely under the restraints on most of the rides.

I went to the park a few days ago, and it looks like the Carowinds security has been seriously beefed up, probably because of incidents like these. There were a bunch of security guards - more than usual it seems like - both roving through the park and patrolling the parking lot in squad cars.

This is what confuses me, why do you have these types of items with you while you're going to an amusement park?

I've gone to Carowinds with all kinds of stuff in my car based on other stops on the day's trip. For all we know they were traveling across the country and stopped at Carowinds because it was on their path and they'd heard about the coasters. My point is these people likely weren't going JUST to Carowinds that day. And even so, sometimes passengers like to entertain themselves electronically on trips or perhaps during a picnic lunch or supper. Or they didn't clean out their car. But with these thefts in mind I'll pay closer attention to what's in my car on my next visit.

Well when I went to KD back on june 2nd I only had to take my pack off for Dominator,BLSC,FOF & windseeker but was able to keep it on for the other coasters I rode....somehow my anaconda keychain photo came off my key ring & now I have to get it back on.

I was at the park yesterday and they've now put a seat belt just like the Gliders have where they have to have the pin thingy to unlock them, on each of Intimidator's bins. I really think it was a great idea! I would've taken a picture, but I didn't have my camera.
