I have heard so many positive things about Leviathan since it opened. I have heard several reviews saying it is the best giga coaster out there. But back to the original idea, please just replace Hurler with something.

So funny that CP hasn't switched maverick over to the padded straps that I305 now uses,it would be a rather cheap solution to a painful problem.

So I305 does have the same exact restraints? I will sure look forward later this summer when I305 tries to cut my head off too.

They're molded slightly differently around the bend of the restraint, but it's essentially the same. Fun Fact: Kingda Ka ended up with the OTSR part of i305's restraint when i305 got the soft restraints.

i think that carowinds could really use something differnt then any luanch roller coaster or a giga. i thing they should build something like manta, cheeta hunt , kraken, or even steel eel!!! they could really use that new land for something good!!!!

All the coasters are good and great trust me I want to see a bigger variety myself however flat rides are what Carowinds really need especially a Huss frisbee. I see kennywood got theirs this yr called black widow; intimidator cost what 32 million that's like at least five new flats right there and I'd like more night rides so can we extend hours to like 11pm or 12am regularly an hour in the dark is not enough

So I was looking for 2013 roller coaster rumors when I fell across another roller coaster enthusiast site. They were talking about Leviathan and Kings Island, and one guy said he somehow knew what Kings Island was getting for 2013, and he said to expect a huge coaster. I know it sounds fake, but I believe the guy. Like I've said many times, cedar fair is doing a pattern again with B&M gigas. When I hear BIG new coaster in a Cedar Fair park in 2012 I think of B&M gigas, only because it would continue the pattern cedar fair does. Which makes me think we are getting a giga for 2014. I really do think we should expect a giga for kings island, then one for us in 2014.

I could see Cedar Fair following a pattern of putting winged coasters in all their parks before I see gigas. I'm still holding out for a TTD type ride here.

Did he say how exactly he knew what they are getting? Not saying he is lying, but you can never fully trust when someone says something like that. I hope he is correct because if that something huge turns out to be a giga, then the likely-hood of us getting a giga for 2014 sounds very plausible.

Don't we all. Too bad Strata coasters have not been made since 2005 and only being the 2nd one.

Intimidator was $23 million, just had the two numbers flip flopped lol. I do see park hours being extended sometime in the future for Carowinds, maybe till midnight like they do at Kings Island on Saturdays in July. I don't see that happening every day in the summer though. I would like to see daily operations of Carowinds to start earlier than just after Memorial Day though. Maybe first week of May. Hopefully that will happen in the next decade as Carowinds continues to expand and become more popular.

We already have something like that, it's called the Intimidator.

^This looks like the winner on what the park will look like some 10 to 15 years down the road, although the hotel looks kinda massive if that was actually it's size. Any idea on how many acres that would expand the park? I know we purchased 61, but I wonder how many exact acres are used with a water park expansion and park expansion taking over the old parking lot.
