Hey, does anyone know where the crypt is fro kings island? Just dreaming, but would be a good addition to the park because, it's another flat ride, plus it would be a neat experience ( I've never been on a top spin ), so it would be cool to ride.

Wait a minute, the Carowinds Amusement Park is a member on this forum. Shouldn't we just ask them what's coming in 2013?

Hey, wait a minute, Carowinds amusement park is actually a member on the forum. Do you think they might be able to release a few hints about 2013 to us. Probably not, but hey, this is a WISHlist thread anyways.

Probably not as PR & the CEO would hand them their walking papers for doing so.I think KI's crypt is headed for the scrapheap hence the reason it's SBNO at KI due to mechanical issues.

Never said we were getting the Crypt, just thought it might be a neat addition.

The crypt would stick out like a sore thumb at carowinds. There is absolutly nothing that goes with its theme. They would have to retheme the area it would go in.

It's just a Top Spin. Nothing about the Top Spin is inherently "crypt" themed. You could take it out of the box with no regard to theme. In fact last time I rode it in 2009 the only bit of crypt theming left was the "Crypt" sign out front.

It's size along with its mechanical bulkiness and clunkiness would make it stick out like a sore thumb more than anything.

Also since when has Cedar Fair ever cared about theme.. in the "Congo" section of Kings Dominion you have a Nascar ride, a Hollywood backlot ride, an alien invasion ride, an avalanche ride, and a Carolina themed seafood restaurant. Volcano, Anaconda, and their Crypt sort of fit the theme, but not quite. (Most of that was Paramount's doing, yes I know, but Cedar Fair has not done anything to change it.)

I do not see Carowinds getting Dinasour Alive. The reason is I don't see people in the south paying the Upcharge of $5.00. Much different demographic down here. I do see another Water Park ride going in.

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what being in the south has to do with that, but either way it isn't stopping people from paying $4 to see Dinosaurs Alive at the NC Zoo.

The NC Zoo made record attendance with it too. However, I go to the Zoo to see Live animals not statues and robots just like I go to Carowinds to have fun not be educated on dinosaurs. However, I also understand the concept of business but NC Zoo or Carowinds, I will not hand over the money for it. I will buy fudge, funnel cakes and maybe cotton canddy.

After riding Maverick again, I would enjoy something similar to it in the park somewhere in the future. Possibly something similar to iSpeed in that park in Italy.

I really think a ride like that would go over very well at Carowinds. There really isn't anything like it at KD, SFOG, BGW, or Dollywood, which are the parks closest to Carowinds (sorry if I missed any, but you get my point.)
A Maverick/iSpeed/Fahrenheit hybrid. Lift hill and Launch, Beyond vertical drop, OH and I would love a ride with a pretzel roll like on Fahrenheit (They just look like a lot of fun!)

I've stated my love for this kind of ride before, but I really think Carowinds could use a ride like that.

I pretty much agree but my combo would be a iSpeed/blue fire/Speed Monster/Mega Lite combo. Maverick was a bit painful to me. Not nearly as much as the torture of I305. Not a fan of the super quick left to right switches unless it is done at a more moderate speed then it is fun. Based on comments over the past couple of years, this board really does seem to want a launcher. A GCI woody is my #2 choice.

I get what you're saying about maverick being painful. If they made softer, cushioned restraints for it then it wouldn't be bad. I personally loved the super quick left to right switches, and with softer restraints they would be perfect.

And I definitely agree about a GCI woodie. If we don't get a launcher, I'd really like a GCI at carowinds. Two things we don't have that we need: A launching coaster and a nice, modern wooden coaster.
