I hadn't been to Kings Island in 8 years and needed to get back for at least Diamondback. I love the park and wish it were closer. In fact, I wish they'd move Kings Island to Virginia where Kings Dominion is, replace Flight Deck with Grizzly, replace SoB with Volcano, replace the big empty Crypt building with KD's Crypt, and put I305 where Firehawk is. It'd be a great park and only 5 hours away. But alas. Holodecks have yet to be invented. And let's be honest, when we do have access to holodecks, the last thing we'll be doing is going to theme parks. I'm just being completely honest.

On to the Park.

I saw a very similar sight the previous week on the same day. Odd.

Did you know this was originally intended to go to Coney Island in NYC?

I'd heard some people rave and some whine about Diamondback. First off, we got a Fastlane, which was great because I basically got ERT on Diamondback even though it had over an hour line. It. Was. Fantastic. Great airtime, and even the trim throws you up out of your seat for some ejector air. I loved it.

It was my main reason for coming.

I also needed this. I hate it's placement in the park, but its a fun ride.

Even though I have one in my back yard, we rode this one too.

The ride is sick.

Speaking of sick...No, really, I love Delirium. I wish Carowinds had some type of Frisbee ride.

Pay no attention to the ginormous wooden structure.

Racer lived up to it's name. It raced. It also ran well.

I wish they'd get Rocky Mountain on this thing. Steepen the drop. Double Up to the first helix. Ninety degree banking on the helix bottom, over bank on the top. Shorten the MCBR. Steep drop off. Add the loop back. Next helix. Then reprofile the last couple of hills to give killer air like they did on Texas Giant. Add in some tunnels and effects like Texas, and you have a fun ride. Oh, and trains. Texas Giant Trains. It could be done. It could be killer.

Thankfully I had this credit when it was at Geauga. But to their credit, they use both stations.

Didn't ride Vortex, but did ride Beast in day and nite. My friend Matt described Beast to a newbie that was at HWN with us as "The Voyage with out any airtime hills". He's right. But I actually like Beast. I love it at nite. There was one really great airtime moment this time, but the thing just flies thru the woods. In the dark, it's great.

It's no Phantom Theater, but it works.

It was all lit up at nite.

I still don't get this ride. I would have skipped but everyone else wanted to ride and SoB wasn't open.

It's really fun. If you get it. I get it.
