Completely agree chunkyskunk, I think ride wise Planet Snoopy has been the most neglected part of the park, other than the waterpark perhaps. At least the waterpark has seen two expansions since 2005, where as Planet Snoopy has just had a bunch of rides repainted.

Finally.. lets bring the "wish" back into this thread. As in I wish this stupid thread would have taken a different direction than it has, but we're 25 pages in, and its far too late to pull the nose up.

Here is a "simple" Planet Snoopy expansion, featuring 10 new rides, 9 of which come from Zamperla. It would take the spot of the picnic shelters next to Afterburn. Excuse the poor MS Painting, but its just an overview. Other than the Mini Tea Cup I could see all the rides going in under a sub-section of Planet Snoopy called "Snoopy's Space Station" (because, get it, its just off of Planet Snoopy..) All the rides are fairly easy to theme to something space related as well, so I'm not going to bother with the names, just look around at other Cedar Fair parks, they name themselves.

Also there is a lot of empty space on the bottom of this plot, but that's for future expansion where I have my Maurer Sohne spinning coaster that weaves around the other rides, named Cosmic Coaster (just like Valleyfair and Worlds of Fun)

^I'm hopin' and prayin' that we don't get Dinosaurs Alive! I can sit here right now and come up with at least 10-20 better things to invest that money, including just re-investing the money back into the park and fixing things around the park .

The way I see it, Carowinds got lucky and slipped through the cracks when it comes to dinosaurs alive. Looking back on 2012 expansions in cedarfair, I'm surprised we didn't get it. And I've got a sick feeling that we might get it for 2013, I'm crossing my fingers that we don't though. But what shocks me, is that Cedarfair probably knows that not many people like it, yet they still add it, Does anyone remember the angry mob on Cedar Point's facebook page when they found out that they got dinosaurs alive. Carowinds got very lucky this year, but I'm not so sure about 2013.

Jay, I respectively disagree, Thrill Zone is the most neglected not counting upcharge rides. I would like to see a Peabuts themed Splash Battle, Race for your life Charlie Brown would make a perfect theme. However, I like your idea for expansion especially since it keeps the old Petting Zoo Barn and the ponds.

I love your expansion idea JJ. Several good choices there. They are actually several rides in Planet Snoopy that are not bad and rather fun for older kids and even adults. Clearly the Woodstock Gliders lead the way. I am thankful we have a junior woody as very few parks do. It is a nice ride. The pirate ride and the balloon rides are fun. I enjoy riding with my nephews and going more for them than me even though I like going for myself also. One family coaster that I think is a great idea is a Mack Youngstar. It is not a kiddie coaster by any means with sharp banked turns and lots of curves. It is one that adults could enjoy and kids as well. I think Mack is under rated and would love to see more of their work in the U.S. I would even be fine with our launcher to be a Mack as from all I have heard, blue fire megacoaster is awesome. I understand your comment about no more Dinos but where do we discussed the 'New for 2013' rumors?

I said this before on my old account...I see Carowinds getting a GIGA coaster next year. I'm just following what Cedar Fairs is doing.

^If Carowinds was getting something massive like a giga coaster, we would be seeing survey markings larger than the ones we are seeing now. I don't see a giga or any coaster coming in next year. But I do possibly see a giga at some point in the future for Carowinds.

As much as I would love a giga coaster (as long as it is a MF/Leviathan style and not painfest I305 style) nothing about it makes any sense for me for 2013 for several reasons.
1. It is too soon for us for one thing. I can see a park a bit higher up on the Cedar Fair scale like Kings Island getting one first and then us a year or two later maybe. Only 3 years from our hyper to turn around and put a somewhat similar coaster in does not add up to me.
2. I still see a launcher, a wing coaster or a GCI woody before a giga. Two of those three are completely different for us.
3. Even if we were getting one, they would not put it right up against our hyper. It would likely be along Thunder Road and maybe along Carowinds Blvd trees line where all could see. Maybe in the back along side Hurler and across the season pass lot into the old monorail pond and back. It would not be right alongside the park's largest coaster.
4. I am guessing it is too late in the season to start such a major project.
I am sorry to disagree and point this out and slap anyone in the face big on this giga idea and I will admit, I would SO love to be wrong but it just makes no sense to me for 2013.
