While in planet snoopy on 7/17 I noticed a lot of survey paint on the ground around Joe Cool’s Driving School and even a few survey markers towards the back. Could it be a 2013 project or a Halloween haunt attraction in the works?

I'm posting over here because I'm not convinced that what is going on at the back side of Planet Snoopy is a maze. I could be wrong.

I went to Carowinds to scope this out today and here is a quick rendition of what I saw. The blue dashed lines are where there is a lot of white spray painted dots that appear to mostly be marking power boxes, edges of trees, fences, curbs, etc. There are also some orange/red spray painted dots interspersed. The red spots are where I saw survey markers. Two of them are nails driven into pink tape and then into the asphalt. The two blue ones circled in red are where I saw orange flags in the ground. They could have been there all season for all I know. (thanks to JamminJ for indirectly helping me figure out how to post external images!)

There also appears to be something going on in the area near the entrance to Kiluaee:


Based on the size and location of all this, I predict that Dinosaurs Alive is going in this area for 2013.

thats a large area for dinosaurs, also its pretty far from the action theater where they would show the dinosaur show. but considering Cedar Fair reported that they have a 5% increase in revenue, mainly from guest spending, I could see them attribute that to Dinosaurs and try and get carowinds to cash in as well.

I see that Screamscape is saying he has sources saying the dinosaurs are going in the old season pass lot beside Thunder Road. If that is true then maybe we will see expansion for some flats in this area. This area of the park always seemed strange to me so it would be great if they were to connect it to the main pathway near Afterburn.

I was thinking the same thing, take out part of the picnic shelter and connect Zoom Zone to South Gate near Afterburn's Batwing.

I don't think Screamscape is correct on this one. I think whatever we get will only be in the area where we see the markings.

I don't think Screamscape is correct on this one. I think whatever we get will only be in the area where we see the markings.

I hope so, the old seasons pass parking lot at the end of thunder road would be a great place for a waterpark expansion.

Judging by what happened last year. We saw survey markers etc last week or so of july, then Carowinds started their marketing clues around the beginning of august and finally the Windseeker announcement August 24th. We should be seeing some info in some shape or form from carowinds very soon.

This could mean something....maybe: I looked up LFI and got this result: Laser Fantasy International. It appears they make laser projectors and produce laser shows. If that's what it is, I can see it for Scarowinds or an expansion of Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular. Just something I found.

The LFI laser thing looks promising especially since a triangle is their logo. Nice work. hmm, I wonder if Carowinds will display those laser peanut characters on the paths much like they do at night at cedar points luminosity.
