btw the triangle with the dot in it is a Checked spot elevation. Spot Elevation indicates a point's elevation relative to sea level. Spot elevations are often used to designate the highest point on a mountain or hill.

Here is what I have heard, and it does not seem far fetched. . .

The southside picnic pavilion, and Joe Cool's Driving School will be removed in the off season, and in its place, Dinosaurs Alive!, new picnic shelters will be built at the plaza picnic pavillion... There are a lot of survey markings everywhere down the North Gate picnic shelter pathway, and even some located at the season pass building, this kind of keeps that idea valid.

That does seem reasonable to me and makes some sense. I think just like with Windseeker last year, I think the greater majority did not really want to see it but we knew it was coming. I feel the same way with Dinos. I think the greater majority here would rather not see it but we feel in our gut it is coming.

If that's what is happening then it is a #fail in my book. It's not because the dinosaurs are coming, or that they're moving picnic shelters from an area of the park (where the south gate seldom opens) to a more accessible location. It's because they have all this extra land and they're removing a non-coaster ride.

Agree totally. The last thing that park needs to do is remove rides. Too many classic rides have been removed over the years. I have two nephews who love that ride and I enjoy it with them. Although looking at the evidence I think it does add up to that and might be true we still do not know for sure so maybe not.

This could mean something....maybe: I looked up LFI and got this result: Laser Fantasy International. It appears they make laser projectors and produce laser shows. If that's what it is, I can see it for Scarowinds or an expansion of Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular. Just something I found.

I doubt carowinds would buy lasers just for scarowinds, lasers cost a lot,i mean i dont know i could see carowinds getting a lumonosity show like at cedar point

If Carowinds expands their waterpark section, they should consider bringing back the water flumes or the flying super saturator. The flying super saturator was an awesome thing, but it got removed for the Cobra. If you got lucky, you got soaked pretty good.

AS far as the Dinos Alive thing, I looked at youtube videos of it at other Cedar Fair parks. I didn't find what I saw very amusing. Maybe for the tiny kids. But teenagers on up. Now is it included in park price, or extra charge like with the go karts and the other ride they have extra charge on?

But i agree, they need more rides.

If carowinds could bring back those two rides from the scrap yard I would be amazed! I mean listen folks, why would carowinds put dinos on asphalt?

dinos on asphalt, sucks, joe cool driving school on asphalt, not so much. I fully expect them to relocate that ride.

Its $5 per person. any has sold very well at the other parks. it may be stupid to adults, but kids love it

Which is why putting it beside planet snoopy makes so much sense.

Reports from KI are that repeat visits are low, I don't. Expect DA to last more than 4 seasons at any park max.

I'm hoping that Carowinds doesn't get Dinosaurs Alive, though the odds are stacked. It just seems like such a waste of capital investment. Instead I hope that these markers mean a new pathway will be constructed so this area isn't. as cut off from the rest of the park, along with a laser light show similar to the one at CP.

I'm actually quite shocked they would do DA considering the North Carolina Zoo added it this year and it's only an hour north of Charlotte.
