I know the first Scarowinds weekend is September 14th. When do you think we start seeing setups begin to pop around the park? I am thinking the middle of this month maybe?

Yea, we should start seeing some construction in another two weeks or so, give a day or two.

Inclusion of kiddyland similar to Universal at some point

Universal doesn't do that...when it was at Islands of Adventure, all the scares were everywhere except suess landing and toon lagoon. One year they had a green lazer in toon lagoon but that was the extent. Over at the studios, they have scarezones at the crest of the kids area but thats about it because the lines for the haunts back there usually start near et/animal actors stage...

Being I haven't been to SCarowinds in what has to be almost 10 years I cant really have much of a wish list. I would say get rid of those shaker cans if they haven't already!

Anyone else think a music themed maze would be cool? i know we have the shows and what not. I'm talking hardcore and post hardcore themed. The actors could dress as famous band members and be "monsterfied". it probably wouldn't work out, but it's just a thought

Speaking of defex, I really do miss the forklift that was active in 2010 but not useable in 2011, it really did add to the theme of the maze and I have asked about it before.

as much as i like dubstep, i have to agree with you. i thought i was the only one who saw this coming! and i really miss the forklift. the horn almost gave me a heart attack

Parks like carowinds have to have "general" maze. A music themed maze? I personally wouldnt know who the dead musician was suppose to be until I was told. Same with the alice cooper maze. If the maze didnt have his name (I always thought it was a her until I actually saw a picture of him) attached to it, I would have no idea it was about an album he put out. I think we are seeing the peak of what carowinds WILL do as far as maze. I want to stress that WILL. You aren't gonna probably see indepth storylines, something unique other than a 3D maze and you're gonna continue to see rehashed maze year after year. And that is perfectly fine for the event carowinds puts on.

Sometimes I wonder if the people behind SCarowinds attends different haunt cons? Or even better, attend other events like netherworld or even universal, busch, or a six flags property...
