Lets say your the GM of carowinds (just picture it :D ). You have to make a decision on a new coaster to bring to the park. The only catch is that it has to be a coaster manufactor that hasnt brought a coaster to the park to date. Choosing from the list above you have to do the following:

1.)Decide which one you would contract.

2.)Based on the consultant you picked, what type of coaster your getting from them.

3.)Give some specs. of the coaster and the location.

4.)And if you have to move an attraction for it what will it be (but it cant be another coaster). **remember the GP isnt thrilled about removing attractions**

The format of the presentation should be that of a press release.

Im looking foward to the coasters 'cause im sure you guys can be very creative and have the capability of doing a project like this.......................

LET THE COASTERS ROLL!!

Oh yeah........If you dont want to go thru everything (and i dont knwo why!!!) you can still vote on the coaster consultant you would like to see at the park!!

And by all means comment on what your fellow "connectors" created......

************NOTICE! THIS PRESS RELEASE IS FALSE MADE BY A PARK FAN! DO NOT BELIEVE ANY WORD OF IT (just in case  )

EDIT- Modified into Press Release Format!

CHARLOTTE, NC- There's a Hurricane brewing at Paramount's Carowinds! Today, park officials announced that "Hurricane Hugo", a new old fashioned wooden roller coaster, will be arriving on park grounds for the 2005 season.

The ride, designed by Great Coasters International, will feature a 115ft tall first Hill and will reach speeds up to 60 mile-per-hour during it's 5,000-foot long course.

Some unique features the coaster will boast include an enclosed "helex" section that will feature special effects such as wind and lightning. The ride will also feature a water curtain that will drench riders before plunging into the ride's underground tunnel finalee.

The Park's General Manager, known only as Dukeis#1, stated in the press release "With this new and exciting bad *** coaster, we plan to target 14-30 year old Coaster/Computer nerds that spend most of their time on the internet spreading rumors about Carowinds adding a hypercoaster. --Oh, and we also think it will be a nice ride for families with kids 8-15."

Hurricane Hugo will replace Rip Roarin Rapids, which opened in 1982. "We are sorry whenever we have to close an attraction, particularly one that has had such a sucessful life-span as Rip Roarin Rapids, but we felt that since Dollywood, Six Flags Over Georgia, and Busch Gardens all have better rapids rides, ours was a humiliation to the ride type" said the General Manager.

Carowinds was very cautious about the announcement of a ride removal, particularly after the old general manager recieved death threats from a group of Carowinds fan radicals known as "The Coaster Preservation Club" when the park made the bad desision to burn the Riverboat down and stomp on it's ashes last season when Borg *** was built.

Hurricane Hugo will be located in the expanded Carolina Boardwalk Area. The renovated Carolina Showplace will now feature Hurricane ravaged Coastal Swamp-land like theming, including Banged Up Buildings, Shored Submarines, and Beached Boats.

The ride is scheduled to open on March 25th, 2005, which is the tentative opening date for the Paramount's Carowinds 2005 Season. However, Park Management is also planning a Season Pass Preview event that will occur one weekend prior to that date.

Ok heres mines.............

Charlotte,N.C. (September 20, 2004) - With recent additions like the state of the art BORG ASSIMILATOR™ flying coaster and the ever popular Nickelodeon® Central what else can the park do. Well 2005 brings the tradition of the Carolinas back with the renovation of the County fair section. The new additions to the County Fair will be 3 flat rides; Carolina's Chaos (Sky diver), Whirling Devirsh (Wave Swinger), and Ripsaw (zipper). The new addition will spread out behind the Paramount Action FX Theater™ into the rarely used parking lot. But the highlight of this expansion will be Rodeo™.

What will the county fair be without the all american rodeo!! This 85ft beast features a very twisted layout, with the only straight sections are the lift and the brake run. Guest are treated to fast transitions airtime filled hills and non-stop speed. "The focus of Carowinds has been to get the whole family into the park, and now that they are here its time to start thrilling them also!" states GM Jarvis Morant. He also goes to say, "The last time wood was brought into the park was a little over 10 years with the addition of Hurlerâ„¢ so i felt that the parks coaster line-up could use a little more wood. Mike Boodley, Rep. of Great Coasters International states that, "Rodeo will incorporate all the fundementals of the classic original twister-style wooden coasters from the past that have seemly gone away.". When asked what was their inspiration for the layout GCI jokingly said, "We just blew up a balloon and let er' rip!!"

Set to open on March 19, Rodeo will be Paramount's Carowinds 14th Roller coaster. "The expansion of the County Fair will include more than just the flats and coasters, those are just the highlights of the project." hints Jarvis Morant.

Stats

Rodeo will be the southeast only twister style wooden coaster and it will be constructed out of yellow southern pine. 2005 will be Paramount's Carowinds year to continue making movie magic, and at the same time reconizing the heritage that the park was based on.

The aliens have landed at Paramount's carowinds and they are not friendly. Following the Borg Assimilator, carowinds adds another attraction that's out of this world. Next March, in 2005, guests will have the opportunity to face their fears on carowinds' 13th coaster Flight of Fear. This ride will be designed by Premeir Rides and be of the Mad Cobra design. The ride will feature similar themeing to the other two Flight of Fear rides at PKI and PKD. Guests will see a strange new wearhouse-like structure as they enter the park and be beckoned though the Thrill Zone and to the new FOF plaza behind the hurler. The barcaded path that guests are so used to beside Drop Zone will no longer be there and guests will be able to access the new ride via this entrance. An important park official has been quoted saying "After our mistake with the Borg *** last year, we went with some proven technology and we hope this to be our biggest hit since Top Gun: The Jet Coaster". The new ride will be the only LIM launched coaster in the Carolinas and will send riders through 4 intense inversions. Carowinds is proud to be the home of extraordinary attractions and will please thrill seakers for years to come.

Stats:

Length: 2705 ft.
Height: 74 ft.
Inverisions: 4 (Cobra Roll, Sidewinder, Corkscrew)
Speed: 54 mph
Duration: 2:24
G-Force: 4.5
Capacity (Riders Per Hour): 2000 [Better than a Vekoma ;) ]
Restraints: Lap Bars [YES!!!]

And all the other crap about Viacom and Paramount Parks. You know what It is. I'm too lazy to write it all in.

Coming to Paramount's Carowinds in 2005!

Last year The Borg from the Star Trek universe invaded Paramount's Carowinds with BORG ASSIMILATOR.

This year, the fleet is answering back with Star Trek Voyager!

Boldly go where no man has gone before in Carowinds history! This "giga coaster" will be the tallest traditional lift roller coaster in the World!

Located in the Paramount Plaza area of the park near BORG ASSIMILATOR and standing at 325 feet tall, Star Trek Voyager another awesome invention from the people at Intamin AG that created the roller coaster "Millennium Force" at Cedar Point, Sandusky Ohio, will feature more drop footage than any other coaster on the planet! Commonly called "air time", Star Trek Voyager will have more air time than any coaster in existence today.

Climb to the heavens, then soar back to Earth on Star Trek Voyager, opening March 2005!

Specifications:

Length: 8050 ft.
Height: 325 ft.
Drop: 330 ft.
Featuring 3 overbanked turns.
Speed: 95 mph
Duration: 3 minutes
Capacity: 2100 per hour
Trains: Intamin Trains similar to those on Millenium Force, modified with an "open car" structure. Similar to a "floorless" coaster. Color: Silver
