If they bring an In-N-Out burger to Carowinds my life would be complete.

Also I like the suggestion of improving the jukebox diner and making it into a sit-down restaurant. It's got a lot more potential than just the same ol fast food stuff you see everywhere else in the park because of its location and theming. Also Carowinds needs a sit-down restaurant. Sure, fast food is popular at a theme park but I think it would be cool to have a regular restaurant at Carowinds.
A fresh coat of paint on everything from handrails to roller coasters would be amazing. Also, a nice pressure wash of the concrete to get rid of the gum would be nice.

Oh and MOAR TREEZ.

For food, CF seems to be going the franchise route with some of the restaurants so how about....

Johnny Rockets but please not Pinks...the one at CP is horrible.

or stick to local franchises like Phat Burrito, Salsaritas, Penguin, Fuel Pizza or Brixx.

Get rid of Chick-Fil-A and add something that is open on Sundays.

Improvements for 2013??? Remove Dinosaurs alive...the end!

And replace it with a real addition. Might as well announced new game booths as new additions for the year...

i say put in a Taco Bell. Sure the tacos wont be 98 cent (they will probily be 50 cent more than what they usally are) but that still cheap, fast and lovable food.

Do something like Cedar Point did bringing in something unique into the park that you can't get anywhere else. Pink's Hot Dogs was fantastic. I had it both days I visited Cedar Point. Maybe they can bring in something like an In-N-Out Burger into Carowinds?

They only have In N Out on the West coast and Texas, but some other fast food franchises would be a nice idea.

I remember the days when Carowinds was the best place to go because it was very family orintated and the whole family had things they could do. My improvements would be based on my family's recent trip yesterday to be exact.

1. Expand the season pass parking lot or open the south gate for entering the park. We had to walk from the south gate to the main gate because even though there were spots in the season pass lot open no one was there to open the gate.

2. The people working the main gate are very rude(not just this trip) the parking gate operator would not take a minute to answer a simple request to see if someone could check the pass lot for empty spots and then proceeded to hurry us along even though the line was not that long seeing how it was just as the gates opened. The bag check people(I do know their job is for safety and am thankful they are there) were rude to my wife in front of my two children then slammed her bag down on the table busting my kids juice boxes.

3.The height requirements on the kiddie rides are not consistent. My three year old is 46' inches and my seven year old is 49.5 inches tall and we still have trouble finding rides for my three year old in planet snoopy to ride with just her and her sister. We wouldn't have a problem if it was consistent but the pirate ship ride for example we went all rode together and had a blast, then a few hours later same operator same ride he wouldn't even let her ride it with me. So my seven year old and wife rode while I held a crying little girl telling her it's alright we'll find something you can ride. When ask why the attendant just said it was the rules when we told him we just rode this ride with him measuring height he just said "oh no that wasn't me".

4. Brings up another idea for kiddie land more equal (size and height wise) rides. It is such a thrill to see both my girls ride these rides and know they are making memories just like I did when I came to Carowinds when I was young. I know it is a safety requirment but most rides don't have the little posted height measurment plaque anymore.

5. The food prices could come down just a few dollars too. My wife and I paid $48.98 for two cheeseburgers and fries and the drinks because they don't do combos.

6. Have more sidewalk attractions like they use to. The peanut crew are wonderful but remember when you could see charactors from whatever movie, comic or even street performers? Street drum corps would be a great start caught their blood drums act on the 14th at Scarowinds just something to keep people's minds off the weather and the lines for rides.

I have had such great and wonderful memories of Carowinds and it is still the best place to go in my heart it just needs to improve on some things. I hope I haven't come off mean but the last few times My family and I have gone these all were problems we encountered I think I could deal with everything else and just be happy if they brought back something on the lines of smurf island and kind of redo the kiddie land portion because my girls would have a ball and that is all that matters to me.

Thanks for letting me post hope I didn't come accross mean or anything.

Dont think this thread was started as a whine and complain thread. Anyways, leave your house earlier, get a better parking spot. Dont come to the park with bags full of crap, since your not suppose to anyways, and you will have a much more pleasant time at the entrance. Leave your food etc in the car and go outside the park and eat like everyone else does. Also, just because one ride operator bent the rules to allow you guys to all ride together doesnt mean you should expect that from that point on. It was a nice gesture and you wanted to exploit it. The only thing I agree with you on, is the $48 for a cheesburger and frys. Their not very good for the price they charge. I normally leave the park, head to wendys or cicis down the road, and come back.

I know they are, more so a wish list. However Cedar Point has the only Pinks Hot Dogs east of Las Vegas. I do miss my IN-N-Out though

Strange that this happened to you. Of the 30 or so times I have come to Carowinds, they are for the most part very nice and encouraging me to have a great day.

Which pirate ship? Southern Star or Peanuts Pirates? The height restriction for Peanuts Pirates is 40" with parent, 48" without. Southern Star is 48" period. As far as food goes, Carowinds does sometimes sell combos. $15 a meal(roughly) is high yes but people willing pay that or more at places outside of amusement parks when they could eat for less than $8 a person. Better yet, Carowinds is selling whole pizza for $9.99. I always eat in the park and rarly complain about the price.

I have to throw my 3 cents worth in and say that I do not think I have ever had a problem with rudeness from employees at the park. Most of the ride operators have great personalities. On some of them it really shows they are enjoying themselves. That is one thing that surprised me when I took an Sept 2011 trip to KD. Almost all of the ride operators seemed miserable with little or no personality. Back to our park though, I will have to admit some inconsistencies with the height restrictions. I have a nephew who just turned 6 and he would ride a 600' coaster is he could. Anyway, due to him being right at 48" exactly, he may get into a 48" ride or he may not. He understands this and does not get upset though. We often get him a bracelet at the entrance but sometimes it is too crowded so we move on. I have a 2 year old nephew approaching 36" but I would imagine he will be there with no problem come this spring. As for the food, I agree it is a bit high but no different than sports arenas, stadiums and most other parks. $48 for two cheeseburger, fries and a drink seems a bit high. Seems like that would be closer to about $28.

Yea, make the Jukebox into a legit '50s style diner with a soda fountain and those characteristic booths. :D
