Son Of Beast didn't fail because of its loop. It failed due to poor construction and poor decisions.

^Didn't Son of Beast have "bad" wood. I wasn't sure if that was a rumor or if that was officially what one of the problems was.

From what I have heard and read, the loop on son of beast was the best part of the entire ride...other than the brake run.

Yup Jarvis.

And pickles, it used souther yellow pine, I believe, but that's not the issue. There were construction flaws, and apparently some maintenance flaws, mother rolling stock was a mess. SOB was just a mistake all around. The design firm, Stengel, suggested the ride be built using prefabricated track, but Paramount didn't go with the suggestion and had RCCA build it. If you take a look at the six coasters RCCA built, they all have terrible reputations.

Yeah that is what I thought was the main problem was the company that built it. They just seem like they were not up to the job of building a coaster of this magnitude.
