Mabye its a little early for this but what do you think is POSSIBLE for 2014. Not a wishlist just a way to narrow down some possibilities
I put mine in percentages

New coaster: 45%
New flat: 30%
Kid appealing: 15%
Nothing (or a new show  ): 10%

Something big is replacing the area Son of Beast once took. As for Carowinds I think the chances of getting a new coaster for 2014 is decent. If not 2014 then 2015. Maybe a new flat ride for the grassy area in front of Intimidator.

My guess is money is being saved now for the eventual restructuring of the front of the park to increase the parks size and the construction of a hotel in the land they purchased. Also. They announced new pavement etc for the exits, anyone know if that has been completed?

Carowinds is most likely going to get a resort-hotel eventually, but right now they're not big enough and theirs not enough hype about carowinds

Unless the plan has changed very recently, King's Island's next coaster will be an inverted coaster.

As for Carowinds' 2014 plans, I hope it's a decent water park expansion. I don't see them having another 'off' year, since that's kind of what this year is. Carowinds has had a few 'off' years lately, not that I'm complaining because what they've done in those 'off' years has been more on the park improvement side. They've painted, they've lit up, they've added dinos.

In all reality, not trying to get too wishlisty, I'd really like to see them add some atmosphere back in the area by Hurler, and add a decent flat pretty soon.

I would have to say that is far from confirmed. It's defiantly rumored that a B&M Invert could be going back there but there are many other types of coasters speculated to take that space. From what I have heard is the most likely is a B&M Giga coaster and then a B&M Invert.

I do agree something needs to be added into the area around Hurler.

You can say what you like, but unless something has changed very recently, it's an invert. I'm not speculating or going off of rumor, I'm going off of what I know.

About to close this thread since its so far off topic now (as well as this is a thinly veiled wishlist thread) but you seriously don't see a difference between an Arrow Suspended, a crappy shuttle Vekoma and a full size B&M invert a-la Afterburn or larger?

KI is by far the largest park in the country without a DECENT inverted ride (ewww I'm calling SLC's decent), and has been for some time. Valleyfair is the only other 'major' park I can think of without one (again Steel Venom not withstanding), and they've also been rumored to get one for years.

Back with carowinds... I Dont think carowinds will get a waterpark expansion in 2014 beacuse when they do get a waterpark expansion its proably going to be a BIG expansion. Also I think that the planet snoopy expansion is possible to

Jay, especially when SFMM had a crappy Arrow, a Vekoma shuttle, and a Batman. Or Sfgam had 2 inverted shuttles and an invert. I could go on. :-)

Well, I walked myself into that one. Waterpark expansion is my bet, changing the name to Soak City and adding a slide or two.
